Thats all well and good, but once the self-defence plea used to justify the Iraq invasion was blown out of the water the invading coalition used an entirely moral justification for it, ie our society and its beliefs and values are superior to those of the society whose country we invaded. You cant have it both ways and say that saddam and his regime needed to be removed because they tortured people, and then go blithely ahead and do it yourself.

the OP wasnt intended to be derogatory about the charity in any way. Myself, a mate and his wife were out in my van, she noticed the Honeypot van, did a doubletake and commented that the name seemed very unfortunate, thats all there was to it. The charity seems very worthwhile, I looked it up myself later.

I'm with the above that say "go for it". Dont worry about the mrs, if she's not prepared to put herself out for you then it isnt likely to last anyway, and its a very small world nowadays; email, messenger, 24 hour availability at the end of a mobile phone, quick transport for weekends etc etc. Like Ponty said you'll regret it if you dont.

it was more the name Honeypot, I thought that was used as a term to describe a method of catching child groomers. Might be thinking of honeytrap on reflection, I'm sure the charity is admirable.

I said "if we're being that picky", then enlarged on that by pointing out that quoting a comedy show which satirises racism doesnt make the person quoting it a racist. Nor does saying so make me a **c**** id**t, I'm not the one that got banned.

if we're being that picky, you could equally say that posting a link to a racist site is in itself a racist comment. And hypo has made it clear that they arent his views, it was a quote from a satirical comedy show.
