You've used that argument about weeding out gullibles from free thinkers before and have previously also stated that racists do more harm to themselves and their argument than anythign else. The evidence that it's nonsense is (1) look how many anti Islamic threads you have on this site - there's loads because people feel they can say anti Islamic stuff here and be backed up by others who think the same. You are in danger of allowing this place to become the playground of racists and people with agendas which most decent folk would consider offensive (2) when one idiot sees another idiot posting racist and anti Islamic stuff they feel vindicated and justified in holding their own stupid and offensive opinions. Thanks to the 7 real fans who dared to show their support on this thread (brave given how quickly some people wish to attack and shoot others down - I guess it's easier to sit on the sidelines and watch) and to the 18 people who sent PMs. I was hoping for more than 25 (well, 26 when you include me) but that's what happens when the admin move the thread off the main board. Anyway, email to Mark Thompson has been sent about half an hour ago and I await his reply. I did check the BBC site again before sending and it's still reading 0 games since a win, so it's wasn't just a blip of some sort. Will keep you all posted on what he says. If someone who drives an Audi speeds, does it affect the reputation of all Audi drivers? If someone who posts on a football fans message board says something stupid, does it make all football fans stupid? The email isn't aggressive or offensive. I have a valid complaint and he, as the man in charge, is ultimately responsible.

Look, it's fair enough if you don't agree. You are entitled to your opinion, but I will not sit back and watch my club be misrepresented in this way, especially when it's obviously not an accident but part of some sort of campaign. I know some people will say "just leave it, there's more important things to worry about in life" and they may be right - but just because something is not as important as other things doesn't mean we it should be ignored. You've both made it clear that you don't mind the BBC manipulating figures and such like, but I pay my licence, I care about the club and what outsiders think of it and I will not let this one go. Thanks to the couple of members who have PM'd me their names to add to the letter. Others who are interested can either add their names to this thread or PM me (if they want to avoid the abuse that some people seem to think it is fair to hand out)
