  1. Changing normal lockers for hand made beech ones at staplewood.......would prepare the players for training Fish Tanks ....................mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm what else did he do?
  2. I looked at this the last time it was brought up. It is like x factor for football, where Glenn Hoddle is Simon Cowell. They are only taking players released from CCC and Premiership clubs and what happens if they get you a contract? Do they own you like Tevez is, or do they get a transfer fee? What happens if no one wants you?
  3. Nick, you say THEY? Are you referring to Crouch and Wilde? Im sorry to say but that is actually incorrect. The people you refer to ie Hoos, Hone, Delieu were brought in by Wilde and were "headhunted" by him via Vantis (Sports Advisory Sector). He told me a week after he brought up his first tranch of shares about these guys, and this was before Crouch was on the scene. It took several attempts for Hoos, Delieu, Hones, Trant (Wilde had personal issues in Singapore / Jersey) to get Crouch on side (this included meals, and cigars at the Harbour House and GD4 , which were owned by Trant)and when they did, this is when Lowe resigned to the fact he was out and left the Football club. Im not sticking for Crouch here in anyway as he has made mistakes as had everyone else but, people seem to forget very quickly the events that have happened. Wilde put in those executives who then basically got rid of him, and because of the way the votes was carried, Leon Crouch was asked to leave also. It was a close shop as it is now.
  4. People are forgetting the "compensation" that is being payed to these players after they leave. It was the clubs choice for them to go and so that means many players had at least 1 year on their contract. If you remember last year people like McCann, Omerod etc were still being paid by Southampton after they left or when they left they took a big cheque. This is normal practice, and many people are unaware of this. So looking at soccer stat sites doesnt tell you much. One example is that when Kevin Davies signed for Blackburn on £20k a week on a 5 yr contract, when he came back here Blackburn were still paying him I think £8k a week for a couple of years. In the long run, it is cheaper for the club selling the players to do this. This why so many players "hand in a transfer request". This wavers all bonus, and contractual payment owed to the player and is an incentive for the club selling to agree. A more recent example is Freddy Lundberg leaving West Ham I think it cost them £6m for him to leave and this was to reduce their wage bill!
  5. I’m writing this, purely on the basis I didn’t have a clue who England were playing tonight until I looked earlier today. I knew there was an International game because of the break in the domestic league but that’s it! With tonight’s International against Kazakhstan and other games coming up soon, I thought, WHO REALLY CARES about the England Team anymore? Personally, I have lost all interest and it seems looking at reports from the press less fans have are travelling abroad to support the team. Club football seems to be very much more important to most fans and it seems the players. Skipper John Terry has been quoted as saying “England's players take part in bigger games during their club season than at international level” So why should the fans be thrilled and enthusiastic about following England? Since the early 90’s I have been to watch England at Wembley and various grounds including St Mary’s for qualifiers and have been lucky enough to see a couple of World Cup games in France and Germany, but now am not bothered what so ever and speaking to several friends they don’t seem to be either. Is it because England did not qualify for the last major tournament? Is it because England are playing “under par” teams and not getting the results people are expecting? Is it because, as a nation we have not won a major competition since 1966? So why is your interest in England dropping now if it is?
  6. Was just a faulty batch. They have had 3 returned for various faults. I was very impressed with the diag the garage gave me as it showed everything in the car is spot on.
  7. If he is working in finance then he will get the standard CRB check so will take 10-15 days. This check certificate contains details of all convictions on record, plus details of any cautions, warnings or reprimands. So to be honest mate, I wouldnt hold out much hope. But saying that he depends on what he has done and how long ago
  8. Ponty wins! Faulty CAT even though it was installed 4 weeks ago. Have had that replaced and passed with flying colours! Only problem I have now is getting the daignostic fee back from the garage
  9. how many goals did we concede?
  10. I know what your saying. At the Ipswich game at SMS the other week, I was sat behind the dugout. JP was very static with his hands in his pockets, not saying or doing much, where as Jim Magilton was screaming instructions. It might be that JP is watching and taking mental notes, and in the changing rooms shouts and screams.
  11. reality is kicking in for a lot of people Im afraid
  12. I just keep thinking that always at the far post we are missing defenders. This is basic football ffs. Is it inexperience? Our young kids in defence just seem to be drawn to where ever the ball is and then we concede especially the fall backs

  18. The garage poured some stuff in the petrol tank and I took up the motorway at XXXXXX mph! Brought it back and they tested and no different. So having a Crypton diag and tune on Monday so will see. But I hope your right!
  19. Not happy my Mondeo flew through the MOT apart from emissions. Not happy as been serviced regular and had a new CAT fitted 4 weeks ago. Now have to take it to a place that will do a diagnostic assessment and then hopefully fix it. So has anyone had this problem before and what is the min cost through to the max cost?
  20. I still laugh at outing him / her, I still have the abusive emails I got from Dan Williams
  21. Im hoping with a good result at Coventry we will see a big improvement on the next home gate. It looked very bare tonight and was a sad sight. But looking at other attendances around the league, it was to bad. Only good point of it all is that I got home 20 mins after the final whistle.
  22. Just got back and very happy. Enjoyed that very very very much! KD was freeking awsome in goal and dont want to be negative but can see him going in January! My only downer on the night was the fact that we were very weak down the right.
