Strive to over achieve expectations targets etc.......you might just surprise yourself . The alternative is to be negative non performer. Cortese did nothing wrong setting a high target to achieve .....If it had been huge bonuses would have kicked in for the players and staff as it did with the promotions.

IF we can keep a strong back four , and have Morgan and VW in front of them then we will be very hard to score against , factor into that the pressing game from the other midfielders and the fact potentially that we have improved our scoring potential generally i think we should be excited by the prospects for this season . Our problems last year were , lack of depth and we didnt grasp games where we dominated , also we were very one paced attacking . I think those issues wil be addressed.

Dead right , most of our team will improve this year as they are all young , they will bulk up become stronger and harder to knock off the ball and generally more competitive due to the experiences gained in the premiership last year.

Massively disrespectful and damaging to the club and its aspirations to sign quality players .....he should be fined and left to train with the reserves or kids . The club also need to issue a statement to water the effect of his comments down or we wont be buying anyone of any quality or potential .

Agree totally , the four /five weeks left will fly by !! and the amount of purchases required for the team to stay on a par with last year is worrying . For Guan to qoute that west ham are the only teams to strengthen there squad below us is a crazy statement ....it would be fine if the team we were going to field at this point is so much weaker than last years , I do kind of agree that the youngsters will improve year on year naturally as they mature ....but its asking an awful lot of them to fill te shoes of plays that are leaving , I not also that in Guans list Lovren isnt there so he has gone basically

You know we dropped over 30 points from winning positions last season and we slumped when VW was injured and Boruc ...factor that in we were very close to achieving his target . Certainly not as far off as many would have you believe on here .

If you look at the stats when Wanyama played we generally didnt even concede one goal , much more important to the team than cork , although cork does a fine job Big Vic does the defensive side just in front of the back four much better

Shaw , Lallana and Mopo were done before the end of march ......had it from the horses mouth and only shared it with one respected poster on here on skype , we both didnt want to believe it but sadly turned out to be true , the date of the skype message was the 30th March the conversation with the player was a week before .
