  1. Ha Ha! When we left you in pub nos 7 to make our way to Orient, you lot had just ordered another round.... anyway good to meet up with you guys, it was a great session! Any good photos to share? to keep it on topic....Any thoughts on a watering hole / meeting place in Brum?
  2. Agree with this. Its probably worth drinking in Brum (as the choice of Pubs in Walsall are rubbish), and then getting a train to Bescot station (Walsall) in time for Kick-off. The Bescot Train Station is immediately behind the away turnstiles!!! In fact its cheaper for us in Hertfordshire to split the train fares. ie... Get a Return ticket to Birmingham New Street and then a different ticket from Brum to Bescot. The price for the New Street to Bescot (Walsall) ticket is just £2.90 (return) at any time!!! We save over £10 by splitting fares and then have 2-3 hrs drinking time around Brum. Whats the thoughts. Bungle..... could be a similar away-day to Orient????
  3. Ha! you aint going to get away from us that easy.... I will bloody well find you. It cant be that hard to find a pub in London... can it?
  4. See what some O's fans think of us.... did not imagine we would be called "BBB's". Mind you if we sing that crappy song about "having a shed thats bigger than this", then I can understand them thinking we are BBB!!! And they reckon we are excited about taking over 3,000 fans away. errr... perhaps they should have a look at our away support this season !!! to be fair... there was a nice comment from someone who said that we may be pleased that we just survived from the jaws of extinction, and enjoying the fact we have a team to follow... in numbers... http://www.leytonorient2.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=222020 .
  5. SOUTHEND - Went to THE BELL (Toby).... not a bad venue. 3 cask ales, food, beer in real glass not plastic, busy but still able to get a seat, friendly locals OK for Footy Chat/Banter... 7/10
  6. Hi all.... Here is the map of the Ale Trails.... http://www.greeneking.co.uk/capital-ale-trail/london-ale-trail.pdf Is your suggestion to start at pub nos 2 on the map.... "Monument", 18 Fish Street Hill, EC3R 6DB? What time are you kicking off?
  7. Be interested in this Bungle, let us know the details when you have them. We will be starting early with a Fry-up near Euston Station around 9.30-10am... so should be on the Ale by 10.30-11am
  8. Here is an example, which backs up your point... .
  9. Excellent heartfelt note Landford, and sums up my feelings too. Well done fella! We have to look at the bigger picture, rather than the knee-jerk reactions of such a very small but Multi-posting minority... Keep the faith!
  10. Just seen this Video Clip on YouTube of the Saints Support at Carlisle have to say that our Support on Saturday was one of the best away-support for a very long time. Well done to the 1,000 of us who made the long trip up North. Bloody awesome
  11. Carlisle RFC Warwick Road Carlisle Cumbria CA1 1LW Easy to find, close to the motorway network. From the east, north and south, approach Carlisle on the M6 to junction 43 (with the A69). Exit onto the A69 and travel into the city on that road. Go to the third set of traffic lights where you will see the Carlisle Utd AFC stadium on your right hand side. Straight ahead at the lights and Carlisle RFC is about 200 yards on the right (before the fourth set of traffic lights). By Train. For those travelling to the city by train, alight at the Citadel Station. Leave the station forecourt using the right hand pavement to the pedestrian crossing lights. Cross into The Crescent and keep to the right hand pavement. Walk to the traffic lights and turn right into Warwick Road. Walk for 15 minutes to the third set of traffic lights. Carlisle RFC is straight ahead, 100 yards on the left.
  12. Yep I heard the Rugby Club too. Will be driving up, so will go straight there. Has anyone got the address for the Rugby Club, to save searching again on google?
  13. Ha! Correct, but I don't want to be the one to tell my Wife and daughter that I am going to Footy instead. I will die! Charlton is one of my favourite away days, and cant believe it clashed... gggrrrrrrr enjoy!
  14. I keep a ticket stub for every NEW ground I have been too. ...and that included BUCHAREST too.... The sad thing is.... we had our tickets, and got all the way to the security guards at the base of the dilapidated steps at the entrance to the ground, and they simply ripped the tickets in half! bloody annoying really! Did anyone ever get to keep a full match ticket for Bucharest?
  15. This is one game I willhave to miss Bungle (Daughters Graduation)!!!! However rest of COLSLAW will probably be in the Southwark Tavern in London Bridge again. Not done the Bunch Of Grapes before, is that in London Br too...?
  16. Saw this web site on the Echo, for away trips. It lists the away-friendly pubs, stations, ground location etc. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/fixtures/awaymatches/ Not a bad effort. The away pubs recommended for Carlise on this site are: LAKELAND GATE BEEHIVE THE GRIFFIN anyone got any other ideas...?
  17. COLSLAW & TOSSA normally frequent the Southwark Tavern near the Borough Market in London Bridge. It opens a lot earlier than the Market Porter next door. and never go to the Antigallican. Probably the worst away pub ever!:smt118
  18. Oh please don't encourage people to start openly slagging Saints players wearing the Red n White stripes. We get our club back from the jaws of extinction, and already we have fans looking for scapegoats. Oakley had it, Paul Telfer, Delap, Jemaine Wright... we always seem to latch onto one player, and the message board momentum takes over, and they quickly become the Devil Child. Your post may have been tongue-in-cheek, but unfortunately there are two many people on here, who will transfer this onto the terraces on a Saturday. As we have seen too many times in the past. It really shows the worst in Saints fans, when a player is quite audibly slagged-off by the fans! Please leave the booing and the anti-player chants at home!
  19. Just seen this brilliant Pub Guide to SWINDON TOWN from a Southend fan... http://www.southendunited-mad.co.uk/news/loadfeat.asp?cid=EDW8&id=438072 Steam Railway looks a good option. 9 real Ales, large screen TVs and pool.... Steam Railway 14 Newport St. SN1 3DX Telephone 01793 538048
  20. THE BULLDOG Queens Drive Walcot Swindon SN3 1AS Well this pub seems to think its the away-designated pub. from their web-site... "Visiting Football supporters welcome This is a designated away football supporters venue, approved by the local Police" here is the link http://www.bulldogswindon.co.uk/
  21. Need to sort my ticket out too! ...and Bungle, for someone who hates Wetherspoons.... what about Swansea away fella? oh and Watford away??? oh and.....
  22. Hemel Saint

    Skates

Ha! Yep I heard it too! ...and I rewound live TV just to make sure...
  23. Mark, You handled yourself with with dignity and integrity in very testing times. Utmost respect. I wish you all the best.
  24. All I can say is Phew… and THANK YOU Mr. Swiss man. We have been pulled from the clutches of extinction. We have a football team again. I have a club to support again. I am smiling. I never want to hear anybody ever say again, that going into Admin is a good thing!!!! THANK YOU, Thank You, Thank you, so very much….
