What do you think of the official Saints Aid song?
Hemel Saint replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
...now thats not bad! As someone else said, if Notts F. can have "Mull Of something or other", then the Chorus on this will sound pretty good around StMarys. Well done to those at Saints Aid for taking the time and effort.... -
Talking about Bristol Rovers and Breakfast.... Best breakfast before an away match ever... was at Bristol Rovers away in that effing awful cup game last year. "Mrs B's" or something like that. And trains.... we bought a group save to Swansea but split the ticket into 3 legs... without changing trains.... Reading to Swindon Swindon to Cardiff Cardiff to Swansea. We stayed on the same train and saved loads of dosh! Best 2 Away pubs... Brunswick at Derby Kelham Island Tavern at Sheffield Away-days are what Saturdays are all about!!

Agreed! If the mud-slingers want a thread for themselves, then please can they create their own unambiguous thread. All I care about at the moment is that we have a footy team to follow next Week / Next month / Next Season.

Hi Mate, as a last resort, get a ticket in the home end....
-
Forest Away could be a do-or-die game for both sides. A thought on a way to help raise ticket sales for our last game at SMS... Priority for getting Forest away tickets... 1) the obviously priority is for Season Ticket holders get their stab at buying these tickets first. 2) Second preference will then go to members that also buy a dual-ticket that also includes a ticket for the last home game as well. 3) 3rd Priority will be for non-members who also get a shout at the dual-ticket scheme too. 4) The final call is then fans wanting to buy tickets for the Forest game only!! It might be a tad complicated to administer for the Club, and there will always be people who will feel hard done by, but in these desperate times it may be worth a shout! It just might get a few hundred more into the last game....at £25 each!!!! .

Watford Sold-Out - 400 more available on the gate
Hemel Saint replied to Nexstar's topic in The Saints
We need to encourage the extra 400 tickets to be sold... please can someone change the title of this thread, so it says "NOT SOLD OUT. Pay on the gate" or something similar... Same on the OS too... -
Why dont the club add a voluntary donation on top of each ticket bought (ie £10)? If they had done it for Charlton then the tickets would have been the normal matchday price! Worth a thought for Palace perhaps?
-
oh for eff sake, you could not resist could you!!! This is not the time for Point baiting. For those that stayed away for RL reasons and those that stayed away for Fotball reasons, ... now is the time....to get their butts down to SMS!!! Very son, You may not have a club to moan about!!!! Geez
-

Was Lowe a lot closer to being right than we give him credit for?
Hemel Saint replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
Because I log onto this site to read peoples opinions, and all I get is your name in every thread with the same, repetitive drivel. I singled out your name, because yours was all over this thread as well. I wont respond because thats my 3 posts. Ta Ta Love from a "Tit" -
must agree. The thing that got me was 'the buzz' around the stadium. There was a constant hum, a sound that we rarely hear at SMS. It was like being back at the Dell. There was constant noise around SMS. Pockets of Saints support, songs, chants coming from all around the stadium. Yes ALL sections of the stadium. The central Itchen were going for it too!!! I have just read the Cardiff message board and the comments something like.... "A large away support was outsung by a buoyant home crowd". "Southampton really got behind their team" It a really good feeling when you get that 'buzz' going around the stadium.

How the effing hell do you know????? 8,000 plus posts, and every thread is dominated by your negative drivel and assumptions. -
When a certain goalkeeper Dave Beasant played for us.... "There's only one Davey Beasant, His shirt is Florescent. He's six foot tall, catches the ball. walking in a Beasant wonderland" now how many footy chants can claim to have a word like FLORESCENT in its repertoire??????????
-
Spot on fella. Every post gets hounded on by the same individuals. Jeez some are on 8,000+ posts, most of them one liners. Just check out this thread as an example. Its like being in a pub and every conversation you start up, gets interrupted by the same annoying little tat with an opinion on every effing thing. And in the said pub, he becomes the bloke that you see out of the corner of your eye, and you think 'oh sh1t not him again', and you try and move to another corner of the bar.... but guess what, the little twot has turned up and once again jumped into the conversation with his one-line piffle. Do i contribute much.... nope. In the end, the uber-posters wll hit 10,000 posts each and find himself agreeing with himself on every thread he starts....

There are few COLSLAWs up our way that travel home and away. Some are season ticket holders. A round trip to SMS for me is around 200 miles, but some of our group have another 100miles on top of that. ...but this year we have seen a real drop off of in our numbers traveling both home as well as away. Even our local game at Watford was less than half our normal allocation. Cheers Hemel Saint COLSLAW
-
Yes mate, I will be there with Berk Saint (sorry meant Berkhampsted Saint). Be good to see you there. Should be in around 9.30am. Cheers Hemel Saint
-
Will see you there chaps. hopefully! I am in Hemel about 10 miles from Watford. The Snow came early in the morning and dumped around 4 inches on us. Its still snowing quite heavily at 8.30am. Local news is saying it will stop around lunchtime. The main issue will be if the snow freezes overnight, and compacts into ice. Best advice is to see what its like this afternoon and what the local forecasts are predicting for overnight... Hope its on, and will see some of you in the Spoons, hopefully! Cheers Hemel Saint
-
Agree with Many posters that the Watford Junction Station is the better option. From the Station its a 5min walk to the Town center, and you almost stumble upon the Wetherspoons. The spoons will be our haunt too, its safe with a good mix of home and away fans, and even better... it opens at 9am!!! For a wider choice of pubs/bars... turn right at the corner opposite the Wetherspoons and walk under the flyover, towards the top of the town Center and you have a whole stack of both chain and independent pubs in the 'entertainment quarter' However its the Wetherspoons for us 'local' Saints. A few of us will be in there nice and early for breakfast-and-a-pint. COYR Hemel Saint

Be really funny, if was not So true.
-
Yep, they refused us last year, so spent the whole morning in the Southwark tavern, which has always been a good venue to be fair. They do reasonably priced meals too. Looking forward to another good away-day.
-
so your match assessment came from where....???? Your biased opinion from an effing keyboard, perhaps! next time you post your opinion, please state your source! geez! Why not wait for proper feedback from those that were there, eh! Hey mods, can we please have a thread called "REPORT FROM THOSE THAT ACTUALLY WENT TO THE MATCH" please. It might free up threads for some real opinions, rather than from those who simply post to get reactions. (Suppose I did fall to his bait!!!)
-
An assessment from someone who was at the game, then??? Geez!!! Save your petty comments till you have feedback from those who actually went. ...and to inform you, just got off the phone from someone who was at SMS (back of the Northam) to say we were robbed, started brilliantly, and dominated much of the game. So your wrong again, mush!! Plus his view on Euells challenge (from the Northam end) was totally unjustified. So wrong again, mush! A far fairer view than your pathetic comments. Geez!!!
-
Ha! Face to a Handle now... Last bumped into each other in the Wetherspoons at Swansea before you moved on to the "NO NAME BAR". ...so may see you at London Bridge before Charlton perhaps! :drinkers:
-
Same for us lot too. Drink in London Bridge, then the short train trip to Charlton. If I was you, I would avoid the Antigallican unless you are in there at least 2hrs before kick-off, it gets rammed with Saints Fans, hard to get served and crap beer in plastic glasses. So stay for the extra one in London Bridge and then head straight for the ground... PS... Bungle, you said on another thread, that you know me.... any clues to who you are? (not a mate of ex-Aberystwyth Saint are you?)
