Yep, in the final against Valencia. He ran the show that match and scored a goal (was in the opener or the second?). Anyway, he really ran the show for Madrid that day. I'm not sure you can compare him to Dyer at all.

I don't know about the coaches at Southampton. They've gotten some good results with other players but Dyer seems to play like a 12-year old at times. Maybe the coaches just didn't get to him, maybe he didn't want to learn because it was all to easy for him in the youth leagues. I really don't know. He just makes a lot of basic mistakes and doesn't seem to know what to do when running at players. Against blackpool he must have ran straight at the defender about 5 times without even trying to pass they guy. I agree about the impact player, he can really cause damage when the game is stretched.

He's got ability but no brains. He needs a coach to teach him a lot of very basic things.

Who are you calling dodgy?! Not surprised about Liverpool. I think in our last few seasons in the PL we did de double over them and won on some other occasions as well.

Also, this was the first time JP has been very unhappy with our performance.

Not entirely true, we weren't awful at all against QPR until the last 20/30 mins after we were screwed by the lino and we had to push for the equaliser with 10 men.

My connection was fine but the 'Allo 'Allo shenanigans before the match were ridiculous. But in the end I don't really care. I just want the commentary and the highlights.

Bad game today with the defence being put under pressure because the midfield and forwards didn't keep possession. John played very bad and it did improve a bit with Pekhart. Maybe starting with DMG as the striker isn't that bad, at least he keeps possession. We need Skacel (Or maybe Gashmi?) to step up now that Holmes is injured, we were missing an outlet on the left with Dyer running around like a headless chicken as usual.
