  1. Whoever buys the club will NOT want this group of players - would you ? - we have to rebuild the team and not many of the current crop should be allowed to stay
  2. pompey winning 1-0 - any more bad news for today ?
  3. Disaster - but like most of us already realise, we're just not good enough to remain in this division.
  4. With our terrible home form this season, this is a great 3 points - we have a chance!
  5. For once - a "must win game" that we won !
  6. I can't believe we're winning - haven't felt this good for ages !!!
  7. I don't normally post after games but just wanted to express my feelings and thoughts for once. The crowd turned up, we had the call for support from Leon and Lawrie, the Northam end gave it all they could before the start of the game and then we kicked off.................................. The team was poor and deserved to lose - we gave them all the room they needed in midfield to exploit our defense. They came down the right, they came the left and through the middle. Nobody tracked back but somehow whenever we hoofed the ball out of defence they won ! The long ball to Jason was overused and they always had enough players in defense to pick up any ball he did mange to win. I don't want to dwell on any particular player but rather the complete lack of cohesion and understanding within the team. Charlton played as a team and always looked like scoring when they came forward - whereas I saw Kelvin scream at the team at least twice after near misses. Yesterday I left the ground and for the first time felt that we're going down (even if we're not docked 10 points by the FA). My worry is that we'll struggle next season. in Div. 1
  8. I'm from Southampton and I was never brought up to hate Portsmouth. I still remember stories of how Southampton folk used to travel down to watch Pompey when they won the league just after the war - it was always of a story of friendly neighbours, pride in a Southern club winning the league, etc..... When did it all change ???
  9. I have a choice of 3; 1/. Crawley Town - closest to where i live, and have already been in administration, so I could feel at home there! 2/. Brighton - another club fallen on hard times - they don't even has a decent ground (yet) and play in Div 1. Anybody remember when they were a good team and played in the FA Cup final (sound just like Saints) 3/. Leeds - used to live there. If any team's had it worse than us, it Leeds
  10. The missus is a decent teacher and she doesn't earn £40-50K, try £30-35K, and she's been teaching for a lot longer than these boys have been kicking a football to get to this level. Fottballers are overpaid - isn't that why we're almost in admin ??
  11. Hi 1976 Child! I'm living just up the A23 near Haywards Heath - would be good to link up some time. However, I'm not a ST holder and don't attend every home game - but would still be interested to link up. I'm glad to see your location is in Northam Block 41, I always try to get into the Northam end when i attend.
