I'd like us to keep one of Saga or Rasiak, but I think they'll both head off to try and keep their international carreers heading in the right - banging in goals against Lge 1 defences may not be considered as worthy as scoring against higher league teams.

I haven't yet seen Murty but i was impressed with Ifil when he was on loan with us. However I don't think he made a big impression at C.Palace after he left us. I would favour getting him in as part of the squad.

A bit of a shame - I still remember him scoring against Sheff Utd to keep us up the season before last - he looked hot that day (but kinda ruined by getting sent off). Still if he doesn't want to play for us let's move on !

Why not - it's only 10 days away? Many posters keep saying that pre-season is all about fitness and forget the result. Well whether we're ready or not the season starts in under 2 weeks.

9,500 season ticket holders - I'm not one of them. I've just bought 3 tickets for the Milwall game in the Northam but could only get block 40 upper tier. Does this mean a good crowd for the game (20,000+)?

Club first for me, but I love my country and would always follow them as well. But if the choice is Saints winning the premiership and England the world cup, then I take Saints winning! COYR !!

I used to watch Leeds when I was at Univ. there and still have a soft spot for them, but they're too far away to support except from behind a TV screen. Locally i might go for Brighton - they've had a tough ride over the past few years and I admire the persistence of their fans..........

Thanks - that made for very interesting reading. There's not a lot of clubs spending money on tranfer fees - maybe their wage bill goes up when they bring in new players(?). We're one of two clubs that have made some serious money selling players.

Now there's a choice - Crouch or Heskey, personally I'd have them both in the England squad but I would definitely start with Hesky - he links up better with Rooney.

Maybe he's using the word "professional" not just for Murty but also to send a signal to the whole squad about his expectations of players at SFC. IMO, so far, so good !

Don't you think Dan Harding for free looks a good deal ? He played for Reading, on loan, last season - surely he's suitable for Lge 1 and he's free. Why pay when you can get good players for free?

I agree, we need to start finding form - this wasn't just a Saints XI, it had players who should be competitng to make th efirst team and should be showing they can do - how many more games do we need to realise that Saga is not going to cut it for us any more.

I normally buy one of these for my nipper (outside SMS) when we're at the games - he's the age where he'll eat anything - but we call them "skank buggers" because they're so .................
