So what is your point
-
Well if he wants away he should play better
-
The academy has produced good players surely Bale Walcott McGoldrick Cranie Mills James Surman Poke Howard Davies Baird Blackstock prove that
-
Thats the word I have been looking for awareness The team last season lacked awareness completely
-
If you are still unwell and have nothing better to do perhaps you could find him some suitable properties for him What areas would you like him to live in so he can snoop on the players Perhaps Chilworth as I saw Claus at the Clump/Chilworth Arms as it served a nice pint of London Pride when I was last there
-
I think it depends a lot on family circumstances to some extent I would have thought if his children are in the important stages of their education I would not expect him to move but if not he probably will. I dont think where he lives at the moment matters a toss what matters is him getting the team sorted out for the new season and a getting a good group of coaches in place. I notice he is first team manager who now is in charge of the Academy?
-
Deciding on the players he wants to keep and bringing in new players
-
Have a good time I think the time you are on holiday is going to be very important getting in new players and trying to get the team to gel If we do not starting winning quickly things will not be looking good
-
Yes but like the really big clubs they have fans everywhere
-
Why will that show he is committed If I got a job in Portsmouth I would not want to live there
-
I remember seeing him scoring in 2006 quite a talented player apparently http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2002/jun/10/worldcupfootball2002.sport34 Strachan also did not want Kevin Davies who I always thought was a lot better than Ormeroyd
-
Yes I agree lets let Pardew sort out who he wants and go on from there I would have thought
-
Yes could be what is current situation?
-
I must admit I would rather take the guidance of Football Professionals who have offered them contracts than fans
-
I think Hull have the same idea http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/gossip_and_transfers/8157807.stm
-
I think he scored in both 2002 and 2006
-
Not a really sensible and tolerant post I would have thought
-
Just give him a chance he does have potential We are supposed to give the players more confidence not reduce it
-
Yes with the investment and a few new players things should be OK
-
Why not get rid of anybody who has a bad game.
-
As you do appear to require a history lesson We were in Europe before Lawrie Mac took us down to Div 2 But winning the cup will what he will be known for I would have thought Not many people outside Southampton know that we finished second in Div 1 when Man Utd gave up the chase
-
Lets wait and see who comes in We have lost Surman McGoldrick Skacel and may lose John and Euell
-
He also took us down in 1974 with a pretty good team as well as what you are saying. He does have some baggage which people do mention but as I said I have no trouble with him but Ted Bates is somebody who in my opinion should be revered above Lawrie in the years to come and I fully agree with Vectis above
-
Well there you go but were you there when out of the blue he walked off and left us in the lurch which still leaves a bitter taste to some after all these years. I have no problem with Lawrie but like anybody in public life is open to Criticism same as with MLT and Ted Bates. Although I have never heard any Criticism regarding Ted and with MLT there is Criticism regarding his involvement with Pinnacle which I feel is unfounded but others dont

Yes I agree went to Lords for the test match beer £3.70 a pint and not that good either. Twickenham used to have awful beer too but I havent been there for years. But you usually do not get a bad drop of Guinness so I usually drink that if available
