  1. Just feel a bit sorry for JP and MW because they we on a hiding to nothing and seemed to be honourable men.
  2. I dont think that is fair. The whole object last season was to reduce the wage bill and try and keep out of administration. JP and MW were thought to be the best to achieve this strategy. If we were not in such a bad financial situation the strategy would not have been adopted
  3. Well that is not a surprise was it
  4. Sometimes I used to listen in the car What annoyed me most that in a half an hour programme there would only be ten minutes of interest the rest was adverts etc
  5. I dont think that we be the case we have already lost Saejis Surman Euell Skacel McGoldrick from last season. Probably another two will go so the Squad will be roughly the same size
  6. So easy to say without the responsibility of balancing the books. Today we are so lucky a free stadium and a wealthy backer someting we could have only dreamed of five years ago
  7. He is working hard at the moment and is confident of success http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4510368.Much_phoning__not_enough_training_ground_for_Saints_boss/
  8. I agree if they are equivilent but I was expecting to buy better players
  9. It is a shame that we did not give a trial to some of the players we have played over recent years before buying them. Giving players trials seems a good idea as fitness levels can be checked
  10. But there are also loads of players Like Kaka and Ronaldo who can be bought on the transfer market
  11. If you read Pardew's Comments he is Looking for Bosmans with priority as there are bargains to be found and putting feelers out for loans and other players. A pretty good approach I would have thought but we need to be patient
  12. I dont think Pardew has said anything about where we may finish this season. With the -10 deduction and a new team he expects to be mid table by Christmas. Which seems realistic and if we are there and playing well investment may be available to push us on to higher things
  13. Exactly he appears to be doing everything as I would have expected from an experienced manager. It is shame he did not arrive a month earlier as I think we would be in such a better shape but that is in the past
  14. Yes you are so right no Stadium and an extremely wealthy backer so different from previous regimes
  15. I think we should let Pardew get on with rebuilding the team in a professional way. It is going to take time probably but with SFC having no debt no shareholders and a united fanbase it should happen sooner than later
  16. Yes very Impressive Stadium saw a Pre Season Friendly v Ajax years and years ago I think the capacity was over 100000 at the time
  17. I am a positive realist - the team is not good enough at the moment Mr Pardew agrees too http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4507949.Squad_long_way_from_being_ready_for_Millwall__says_Pardew/ When we have a decent squad I will be a lot happier
  18. Perhaps the Echo could find out further information. I could understand Tisdale turning down an interview but SFC would need to get permission to talk to him surely
  19. So Pardew is second best then. But I think I would probably have appointed him over Tisdale
  20. I am not sure that lots more goals are scored in League 1 from looking at last years tables but some teams at the bottom were really bad and let in more goals than we did in CCC
  21. Yes I quite agree with what Pardew is saying but I do not think at the moment we will get to the play off this season
  22. Not if they are no good;)
  23. What he said was he hoped to be in mid table by Xmas and would could be done then http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1729716,00.html AS in OP
  24. In theory the squad is OK and it was last season But on the football pitch it is not
  25. Not so sure we dont seem to be playing well at the moment
