    Half time chat!

Is it bad luck we have not scored or are we too anxious . Surely with the law of averages we must score soon
  2. good I dont want Cov to score
  3. Please can someone remind me when did we last score was it against this lot?
  4. McGoldrick tripped up outside penalty area perhaps No foul
  5. It is no wonder no one wants to become chairman with all the rude posters on here. I cannot see anyone else wanting the job when the fans start abusing when things go wrong
  6. Our major shareholders individually wealthy so why are they trying to make money out of SFC. I think the major shareholders lost control of the club when Hone etc were invited in and instead of planning for the future without parachute payments planned for the future with a takeover being completed.
  7. SMS is like any other Stadium and has no real advantage for the home team the Dell was unique with the fans so close to the play.
  8. If we had played Cardiff in 2003 instead of Arsenal we might have won the cup.
  9. We have only lost a few games I know things dont look good but it is not over yet
  10. That was in the old days before the Premier League which supports the bigger clubs getting bigger and the smaller ones getting smaller.
  11. I have no shares. The problem for administration for me is that the non playing staff and local companies supplying goods and services to SFC will suffer badly. We would lose our best players (if we have any best players ) and we could lose Staplewood and our whole Academy Structure
  12. Any chance of getting Sh**gy to play for England? Cant believe that Udal's nickname was censored
  13. Yes it is a very modern although relatively small ground near thw Airport in Antigua it is not as big or impressive as the Viv Richards Stadium in the middle of the Island.
  14. I think Mr Wilde has caused SFC a lot of grief a lot more than Mr Lowe Mr Lowe only got us relegated. Mr Wilde could lead us to relegation and administration
  15. I think you would be surprised at the level of debt in English Football I saw an article the other day http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/7656862.stm
  16. Pompey have a got a decent team at the moment better than our 2003 team but of course anything could happen
  17. Although I thought Burley was a good choice it is tenure as manager which has caused the current situation you can blame Lowe for that. However under Lowe I dont think Burley would not have caused so much havoc.
  18. I am not saying they are right or wrong I dont know the true facts. I agree with your analysis of the team even in preseason goals were not being scored. I feel the system maybe OK away but is too negative at home the lone striker or in some cases loan striker has little chance
  19. Your interesting post would make a good film. Who would play Rupert?
  20. I dont really think it matters if Wilde and Lowe are supporters - I think Wilde maybe. I was surprised Lowe came back but he is there and has to be accepted but not admired or liked. It is not the board who win matches it is the players and most are young and inexperienced and need support and not slagging off. Without any money and a large mortgage cost cutting appears the only approach to me. I dont like it but what can be done? Spending lots of money does not guarntee success but does help.
  21. Unfortunately I dont see it like that. We failed in the last few years in the Premiership because apart from Bridge we were not bringing home grown talent like we were in the past and having to buy a whole team including dross like Ormerod Jacobson McCann etc and getting in very few top class players. With new approach I thought in the future we would have a team half of home grown talent and then we would have more money to spend on better players . But at the moment the plan is not working but it may do.
  22. Yes but it does not mean what they are doing is not beneficial to the club in the long run. They are not stupid but successful intelligent people
  23. I do agree that lots of people think that Lowe and Wilde are the Problem and that causes a problem. The problem as I see it is that we were too arrogant and assummed we would get back into the Premiership. If we had just consolidated instead of bringing in players who were overpaid and who underachieved we would not be in the position we are now. But you dont like Lowe and Wilde (and probably me ) thats fair enough but what is anybody else going to do
  24. I was only pointing out that it is not only at Southampton that things go wrong. By the way how do you feel. I feel OK as I have accepted that SFC are in decline at the moment and we will probably get relegated. If we dont get relegated I will feel even better but as I am in my sixties I dont think I will see the Saints in the Premier League unfortunately
  25. I like you have seen the good days but football in general has changed out of all recognition with so much money about in the top clubs players like Paine Chivers Shearer and Davies will never play for us. It is all about money these days and SFC has none. We were lucky to watch the Saints in their prime our children and their children are unlikely to see great players playing regularly for the Saints that is in the past. Although Lowe has made mistakes our situation is down mainly to money going to the top clubs I wonder how Nottingham Forest fans feel - Champions of Europe in the 1980s.
