The simple fact is that there are over 30 games to go. There is a remote possibility we could stay up . Protesting is likely to undermine the team and it is the shareholders who appoint the board anyway not the fans. So what will protesting actually achieve not an upturn in results in the short term
-
Neither have I I just think they are probably not up to the job at the moment. The injury to Holmes is not helping and confidence is low. A bit of luck for a change may help
-
Sorry my point is it is not the board that is totally incompetant it is the players as well.
-
Very nicely put Sad old Git I cannot believe some the bigotted unrealistic rubbish posted on here
-
You may meet Mr Fulthorpe and become ITK somebody met him at Doncaster
-
Nothing to do with the incompetance of the players then. Not playing to the Whistle at Cardiff Giving a stupid penalty v Blackpool Missing two penalties against Watford Getting sent off at QPR etc etc
-
More interestling will we score any goals in the next five games
-
Yes of course you are right. But things of course would have been better if we had actually sold two or three of Skacel Saga Rasiak John Euell Thomas . The lack of tranfer income is causing serious problems
-
I dont believe Fans are always right. Look at the abuse given to Davis last season.

I know you think relegation means administration but it might not . I dont know and neither do you Not every club that gets relegated goes into administration we just have different opinions there is no need to be rude I think I am a lot more pragmatic than you. If we get relegated it will mainly because the gamble by Wilde Hone Crouch did not work and we spent too much money on players fees and wages not on the latest decisions. We both want the same thing but not knowing all the facts is not helping either I want evolution you appear to want revolution. I dont think Lowe and Wilde are in it totally for the money as they have other vast incomes to survive on unlike me.
-
I think Lowe was trying to balance the books in the first season down. The problem is that nobody did it after him. If we get relegated it will because the gamble by Wilde Hone Crouch did not work and we spent too much money on players fees and wages. We probably would not have got to the play off with Lowe but would be probably been in a better position if Wilde had not taken over and may have been taken over by somebody. I still cannot see anyone taking us over in our current state and in the current UK financial situation but we can hope.

A very balanced and realistic post compared with lots of over the top ones in other threads

Yes I think you are right I totally agree with your post. The board appear to me to be planning for life in Div 1 but the repayments on the Stadium are a major problem.

Although we have not got relegated yet with the team totally lacking confidence it does seem likely that we will be relegated again. I know people want Lowe out and I would be surprised if he really wants to run a failing football club I certainly would not and other people such as Hone Wilde Hoos and Crouch have failed as well. That I think is the problem with the country in recession it is unlikely that anybody would want to invest in SFC as it is not an attractive proposition. Boycotting the club and demonstrating although very popular I think would have an adverse affect on the team and its players as well as the finances. Administration would seriously affect the non playing staff and local businesses which supply goods and services to St Mary's as well as fans who would have worthless shares. Of course Lowe Crouch and Wilde would lose money but as they seem to various other incomes they would probably be OK. Whats more the grass is always greener on the other side Wilde ousted Lowe and has made the situation even worse. I am just totally depressed and reading this forum makes it worse but what can realistically be done failing to beat Derby in the play offs has turned out to be an utter disaster.

Yes I was quite happy for him to stay but was not upset when he went. He had more money on wages to spend than JP which is the main differnce. Injuries to Thomas Euell Svensson Schenderlin and Holmes have not helped either. Plus really stupid errors against Cardiff Blackpool and Watford which cost us points and confidence.
-
I dont think hypocrite is the correct noun I dont think people were saying NP out just that there was no problem with him leaving. I was fully expecting us to struggle but hoped we would have had another couple of wins by now.. Surely nobody really expected us to perform well after our very poor preseason where we hardly scored. If you can convince me that with highly paid managers players etc we would not be heading for administration I would agree with your point of view. But I can see the only way forward is cost cutting which hopefully will not lead to administration but will probably lead to relegation.
-
Yes we must be well and truly in the brown stuff financially. I dont think Lowe etc are concerned where we finish as long as we dont go bust
-
Well I think slagging them off makes the situation worse. We are supposed to be supporters helping the team They cannot be happy with their performances and their confidence is rock bottom.
-
Yes I agree we were rubbish last season and worse this year. With no money what can we do ? Lets not slag off the youngsters it is not their fault. I think the system is wrong and without Holmes we have no width
-
Rasiak has just scored for Watford
-
Where is the money coming from to do this?
-
I would like to know what meddling Lowe is doing on football matters. So I can understand what he is doing wrong
-
Please explain why you think he is not up to the job. You maybe right but I think he is good value for the money he is being paid. It is not entirely his fault we miss penaties and do stupid things. Reallistically we could have another four or five points this season if stupidity/lack of experience did not occur v Cardiff Blackpool and Watford

If You Had To Bet On It,Will Saints End Up In Administration?
John B replied to Gemmel's topic in The Saints
As I dont know the figures I cannot really judge whether we will go into administration. But it is now more probable than I thought back in July We dont know what attendance figures were assummed but I would have thought that our actual figures are a lot less than were hoped for. I also would have thought we needed to have sold two of Saga Rasiak Skacel and John to reduce the overdraft. But who knows
