I just think his brain isn't quick enough. Case in point, he looked great vs that league 1 team we beat 4-0 when he had much more time to think things through. Ings though, makes up his mind in a flash and executes that plan quickly.

Hopefully Ings can get the chances off of Long's harrying. I wouldn't trust Long to score from 1 yard out in the center of the goal, he'd somehow shin it over or scuff it wide.

Might be your tv settings. I know that if I change the presets like "movie" "dynamic" "vivid" etc it will have an outcome on the watch-ability. Some are unwatchable for sports in a way just like you said that you can't quite put your finger on. Some TVs have a "sports" mode. Might be worth a check?
