That kind of handball was given all season long. VAR said no for a City penalty. Surprised, Liverpool running away with the title, would have thought the PL would want the title race to be interesting to protect their brand.

Bournemouth have been atrocious today. Lucky for them that Liverpool have barely tried. Could have been a bit like what Leicester did to us if Liverpool were hungry enough.

There have been so many, but one that really crushed me as a kid was a cup qtr final replay at Carrow Road vs Norwich. 2nd Div (these days it's championship) Sunderland awaited the winners in the semi. Game got off to a bad start, Le Tiss retaliated on Robert Fleck after getting persistently hacked by him and the referees were doing nothing to stop it. Early bath for Matty. It was a really nasty game and Norwich seemed to be getting away with murder. Ruddock had put us in front and we were holding on with 10 men. Norwich equalized on about the hour and we held on to force extra time. In extra time Barry Horne was sent off and we held on and held on with 9 men. Last play of the game, with penalty kicks approaching and Chris Sutton won it for them. Total fluke too, Goss spooned his shot and it pretty much hit Sutton and looped up and over Flowers. Gutted!

He assisted on their second tonight. FFS, he’ll do his usual, smash in 2 goals, injure Ings with a dirty challenge and then hobble off not to be seen again until next March...

Agree with all of this. We are a small team and with what we spend you get what you pay for. You can legislate a defender who makes a mistake or two or isn't that good at playing it ouit from the back if they work hard and do opther things well, but Cedric doesn't do anything well. - can't mark, gets caught ball watching - gets the wrong side constantly and is easily beaten in the air - can't cross or make the easiest of passes when he needs to keep a cool head - had no left foot, at all - makes horrible, horrible decisions time and time again - wanders out of position and then just ambles back Can't wait until we never see him ever again in a Saints shirt, hopefully another team is dumb/desperate enough to buy him off us.

This! I thought PEH and JWP were really good tonight, harrying the Norwich players and winning the ball back countless times. These sorts of things go unnoticed because it's not a killer ball for a goal chance or a great shot or whatever but are still vital to getting the 3 points.
