There were plenty of Poch and Koeman performances with no cutting edge, no plan B etc. The same ones complaining now were complaining then. Pelle, Mane, Lallana and Wanyama used to get pilloried on here but are now heroes. I think we showed enough tonight that we are essentially a good team and not that far off clicking. I think JRod will come good again and we will become more effective. Boufal looked excellent, very excited to see him at Saints. We just seem to lack that bit of belief and try to do too much, to force a cross, pass or shot. Hopefully we can score early on Sunday and start believing again.

He's clearly low on confidence. He must have been dwelling on Sunday's miss and is desperate to score. I still think he will come good. Pity he didn't score tonight, would have done him the world of good. ****s ragging on him on twitter won't help. Get behind him and the team. I feel that despite the doom and gloom on here we are not that far away from being a very good team. Solid defence, good linkup play and some very skillful players. We just need that something extra from the supporting players to get into the box and get a goal. Davis and JWP need to make those runs but both are struggling with scoring.

I thought it was a decent game and an improvement on some of our performances lately. We just need to be a bit braver and stop swinging the ball in. We have Tadic, Boufal, Redmond and Bertrand all capable of making low passes to players making runs into the box. Trouble is, JWP and Davis don't believe they will score and wont make those runs.

Dear oh dear, bit more incisiveness and we'd have had an easy 3.

JWP and Davis are woefully short ion quality at the moment, they have ruined manys a good foray.

Not least for the fact it doesn't exist.

JWP really does have a mental block with rifling one in from around the penalty spot.

We've been good this game, not great, just need a bit more movement, a willingness to shoot and perhaps a slice of luck.

Nah he probably said, "this is great, I get to play with Premier League players.......and then at the end of the month......they pay me!!!".

I think we've looked pretty decent. Just need players to either: 1) drive the ball in to feet. 2) make decent runs into the box for Boufal, Redmond and Bertrand to pass to. The moves break down when we go for high crosses or when players just stand and watch Redmond looking for an open man to pass to.

All the big teams (and WHU) winning 1-0 at HT.

Crosses won't work we've got to pass and move it down low into the box and get shots in for Long to pot the rebounds...
