We need to I implement some sort of shoot on sight policy and have other attacking players following those shots in for rebounds. All our forwards seem to be faffing around with ot, trying to make extra sure. They need to put their laces through it before the opening is closed down.

Early doors was a Ron Atkinson favorite. As was "little eyebrows" and "spotter's badge"... Classic Ron!

What a result. Went absolutely chicken oriental in my living room when Mané scored. Looked like a frustrating 0-0 up until that point. We didn't play great but were utterly superior to them. The ball just wouldn't break for us on the box or we'd make a bad decision (try a flick or take an extra touch etc). Loads of people bashing Pellè who whilst not great today has been excellent all season. He plays a tough role for the team and takes a lot of punishment and abuse from the defense all game. He holds it up well and wins a lot of the duels. I feel that the midfield make him look bad by not getting close enough to him for the knock downs. Really liked the switching of Mané and Elia to keep them guessing, ref was poor and didn't protect either of them all game as Hill/Dunne etc were hacking and pulling at them.

Better to get it out of our system now than in a league game. Palace become only the second team to knock 3 past is in a game. Will be interesting to see if we go for it in the second half or go into damage limitation mode.

Lived in Newcastle for a bit. Went to the one when Kevin Davies put us ahead only for an aging John Barnes to notch a brace to win it for them. The next one I went to, Doddsy was sent off early doors, Shearer smashed in the penalty and taunted us in the away section, ****. They won 4-0. I walked home in my saints shirt getting dogs abuse from all the barcodes in the bars. Hoping for a with tomorrow to ease my pain.

G Looks like he is looking at his phone in the pic on the plane. Amazing result today, what a disciplined performance, love the team spirit. Liked the look of Elia, tracked back well and skinned a couple of defenders too. Thought Fonts was immense. Pellè very good again, he wins so much in the air, always looking to move the ball and get into position, takes so much abuse from the other team, deserved a goal.
