91-92 season, Norwich in an FA Cup QF replay. With 2nd div Sunderland awaiting us in the SF we had done the hard part and drawn away at Carrow Road. We took an early lead and Le Tissier got sent off for kicking out at Robert Fleck. Norwich got an equaliser but we held on for extra time, then Barry Horne got sent off and we held on heroically with 9 men trying to force a penalty shoot out. Then as the seconds ebbed away with 120 on the clock, some cvnt called Geremy Goss scored the flukiest header I have ever seen with his back to goal and on the edge of the box. Gutted, absolutely gutted afterwards, could barely speak...

Ronaldo was a bit of an unknown quantity when he signed for Utd and the price tag raised a few eyebrows. He did take a wee while to settle in (to many step-overs etc trying to do too much), but once he did he became a formidable force.

I thought we did well in the first half. Perhaps if Lallana's shot had gone in it might have been a very different game. It was a banana skin type game and the team seemed to get too tentative and tryong not to lose and that is what was undid us in the end. A bit more confidence and getting players playing in the correct positions and we should be ok. I am worried about Davis (K) though, I am not sure that he is good enough at Prem level...

Not really sure why we spent 7m on Jrod to play him out of position, totally ineffective where he is...

Hmmm, their goalie is stopping our chances, our goalie didn't stop their only chance. I like Davis but he is out of his depth in the prem (IMO)...

Quiet in here today! Saints passing it around nicely, a couple of times players were guilty of holding on to the ball too long. Guly playing well but needed to play the killer pass to JRod in that move that saw Fox get hurt. A bit more incisiveness and we could get 3 points, saying that this game is a bit of a banana skin and Wigan are very capable of scoring against the run of play...
