No it was later in that same season, and may have been as many as 22 games, Ruddock with a 90th min penalty vs Newcastle to finally get us back on the winning track...

87/88, we won the first 3 (West Ham, QPR, Luton I think) and were 2-0 up at Highbury in the 4th game, Paul Davis punched out Glenn Cockerill.....9 mins of stoppage time....the rest is history....

Went to the Montreal one twice. First one gen admission, managed to get a decent view underneath a stand. Second time got a seat and it was 100x better, watched the support races and qualifying etc, got some awesome pictures. You can easily keep up with what is going on if you are paying attention, you notice a driver is missing and then check the big screens and they usually show a replay of what happened elsewhere on the course.
