Reading over this thread a second time, all i can say is i am delighted at the near 100% excitement and unity! It is such a refreshing change from the *****ing and moaning at each other that has gone on for the last couple of years

Great read, fantastic news As mentioned by many Le God being involved is fantastic, the guy is one of very few footballers over the last few decades who is very articulate and intelligent (bit like Niall Quinn in that respect), not to mention was one of the greatest players the UK has ever seen! His involvement as chairman or director of football will/would be awesome and can only be seen as a plus. I would love to see Tisdale brought in as manager, a Saint through and through, who has earnt himself the praise he deserves at Bath and Exeter, and would be nice to see him backed up by coaches like Michael Svensson and Frannie Benali, all Saints through and through would please me more than words. Its these kind of people who will return us to former glories, COYR's At the same time, if they have the money and could pull it off the bringing in of a Wee Gordie or a Kevin Keegan would make me wet myself, although in reality i know this is unlikely for many different reasons. Tony, Matt and Team thank you all so far for all your work, you deserve it All i will ask is you complete this deal and bring in a decent manager, and a few decent players and not by spending stupid money, i don't think most if any of us expect or even want that, more a bit of investment as and when its required and the full support and backing to the right manager who deserves their/our support. If and when this goes through guy's, lets fill St Mary's to the rafters and unite behind them, we are still the major key to the success of this club, lets never forget that, even if the last administration did! If Colorado Rapids want him, why do we not just allow them to sign him on a free. They pay no fee, we stop paying his wages everyones happy no?? I guess from one of the other posts above, the reason for that is Euell wants his huge contract paid out in full and then be able to leave on a free!! If that is the case then he is a bit of a **** given the clubs situation. If this is not the case and as he states in his blog he wants to stay, why not just bloody play him!!! Wotte's coaching career has consisted pretty much of a different team every season for the last 8 years. He is known as a unpopular arrogant **** in Holland and from what FF is saying also at St Mary's. He is clearly Lowe's big mate having also being linked with us the first time Lowe wanted to put this Dutch disaster in place. So in my view this is the worst outcome of all!!!!!

If they did it wasn't any of the teams in the Jupiler league (Belgian Premiership) as some are playing tonight and the rest tomorrow and Sunday. So if they did play a Belgian team it would have been a very **** one and thats saying something!!

The first time Wotte was linked with Saints i asked a few Dutch people i worked with about him. Most of them just laughed and said he was a arrogant waste of space and good luck. Which totally ties in with what Fitzhugh is saying!! God help us!!! I can only imagine this is all leading to a firesale of Davis, Surman, Lallana, Spiderman and anyone else they can sell. JP wasn't happy with that and so he was shown the door.

This evening on Skateidian news (24 hours after the event) they showed the goal, which clearly was over 2 feet over the line from Lallana's shot, yet they credited it to McG ! You would think that somebody would at least think about it especially as they make out to be a local TV station !!!

I presume that the reference to JVP is for Jan Van Poortvliet ? I checked on Wikipedia and one or two other sites and he is only referred to as Jan Poortvliet ! So JP should be adequate in future, no ??
