Do they still sell chickens with heads in Tesco?
-
They won't sell him to anyone who saw either of Colchester's goals yesterday. Bad up in the air header for the first, bypassed for the second.
-
Just looked at the highlights, their 2 goals are bad, very bad,Trotman and Thomas at fault for both of them (and their offside goal). They just walked past us

Difficult to tell from the clip, keeper swings his leg but our guy sure does go down like a sack of ....spuds

Should we rest all the key players in the FAC?
Window Cleaner replied to View From The Top's topic in The Saints
No Oh sorry that's too short an answer, seems we are required to elucidate our replies on this forum.:confused::confused: Anyway we need to get back on the bike after 2 defeats in 3 games. -
It's not so much about the byeline as pulling the ball back, can't be offside that way. Beckham has immense skill, he can (could) put the ball wherever he wants and the pace and "float" that he wants. Even if he didn't get to the byeline the crosses often did before coming back towards the penalty spot. Anyway comparing Lloyd James to Beckham is a bit nonsensical.

Our team for the second half of the season...

That changes things, he certainly seemed to start brightly, except that Antonio wasted it all -

Because he got it 100% wrong and always plays James somewhere or other. He should have been at right back-as usual- because Thomas is a waste of space there. Our midfield with the players we have at our disposition should be Waigo-Hammond-Morgan-Lallana, anything else is just nonsense. -

Then why did he take him off on Monday and leave the useless James on?? to help out at right back I suppose. Get the defence sorted so that they don't need propping up thus stopping the midfield getting on with their business and the rest will follow. A good football side is founded on it's defence, because you can't always score 3 goals to bail them out. -
i think Cork is on loan at Coventry, don't know how long for.
-
we could have been one of the stand-out teams this season, but we got a crap start. Even the 38 points we've mustered doesn't really cut the mustard compared to the 50 or so Leeds have already . Why couldn't we get Kisnorbo in the close season, didn't sign for Leeds until late July. Oh right Milan hates us and would never let us have anyone any good.
-
But that's a structural investment, don't take owners putting their hands into their pockets too seriously.Perhaps he's loaning us the money.Talking of loaning, whatever happened to Jacksons Farm?? Do we still own it or was it signed away in the takeover gumph.I never got the full details of all that, perhaps the letter just got lost on it's circuitous route ,and to think I gave the post lady 7 euros for her crap calendar the other day, mind you if you don't, your mail tends to fall into the mud and rose bushes a lot.
-
Aren't Peterborough selling someone for 4 million in the near future? They stormed up last season, they might be able to do it again.
-
Doubt if he's dipping his hand into his pocket very much for just the team side of things. We are getting good gates and must be breaking around even at least.
-
But Charlton and Norwich were crap last season as well.
-
Oooh well before then I would have thought.I think the management will allow him a little bit of money this window, but if the results aren't significantly better against top teams afterwards I don't know what might happen. I think M Cortese said he wanted to walk out on us during the Swindon game, perhaps patience is not his strong suit.

Amazing to see all these teams with no Lloyd James in the starting 11, it won't happen you know.If we get a real RB he'll be moved into midfield, probably at the expense of a better player than he. -
In fact Lines has just turned 24
-
Ooooooh, go on you know you want to;);)

Are you kidding me?? Of course it isn't because it's too slow. Harding is the only one of these who would get into any of the top 6 sides.Trotman was good but has become erratic, despite the praised lavished on him for the Exeter game a simple squiz at the highlights will show you that Perry lets his man get on the wrong side of him all the time.Jaidi is a lump with no pace so when you get a fastish kiddy he's all at sea,Murty is a constant injury case, the rest just aren't defenders. I bet if you look at Leeds defence it's the same 4 blokes, week in week out.
-
It is a simple demand for information DD, nothing more.
-
would this not be because James takes the corners? How many goals have we from corners (or other non-direct set pieces)?
-
Because maybe that's what you need to get out of this league. Our defence is catastrophic, hoofing to 5ft 3" ferraris up front will catch us time and time again especially down our right side.
-
Was Lallana onside then? it's not about Papa (for once)
-
In fact gets better results than our man.Much is made of us "capturing" Hammond from U's,but they don't seem to need him and i'm sure that they've invested the money wisely.I consider 2 league defeats by clubs we have given money to for their better players is a bit of a slap in the face. AP has done an OK job but I think he needs to watch his step over spending and the results obtained by it.He also needs to put the bloody defence right so that we don't need to pack midfield with defenders to compensate for it. To me our defence is a big black mark for Pardew. Money spent, players signed but it still leaks like a sieve.Because the same 4 players are too old or too infirm to start every game. Remember the 4 Arsenal oldies, started every game at 35/38 years old. What did Cortese say on Solent by the way?
