I have absolutely no idea what point you're trying to make here. As far as I can see you end up 10£ light and the booky £10 better off (less tax I suppose) if you bet on something that won't happen whatever the odds maybe. I am unfamiliar with the Betfair system, no doubt because it's an Anglo-Saxon thing that doesn't exist outside of the UK and it's derivatives.

There's a lot better things to do with £12 than give it to some bookie or other. People are really stupid about gambling, guess that's why bookies are so successful nowadays. People will bet on anything and everything without considering the possibility of getting any return. Don't about 2% of the population of the UK have serious gambling problems or something like that ?

Well not really, Boxing Day, Goodwill Day or St Stephen's day is only a holiday in mainly Anglo Saxon derived communities. They don't have it here in France or in Spain or Italy and I guess they'd consider themselves "Christian" in the main.
