  1. Trouble is, I personally don't have much faith in Koeman. We'll see, work in progress and all that.
  2. Who'd want to buy him anyway really? Some club or other needs to be motivated enough to pay the initial price and then pay him 40K a week or whatever...just because we were stupid enough to pay 12 million £ for him it doesn't mean anyone else will be to pay even half of that. Anyway we're not selling anyone...honest guv.
  3. It was just idiotic football manager speak anyway. He just needed to say he didn't foresee us selling any first team regular in January and leave it at that. The 100 million £ rider was totally unecessary.
  4. And how do you know that exactly, he came from a weak league, even some of our dutch contributors have decried him. Stats in the dutch league are exactly that, they are not transmutable to other leagues. Gaston was pretty good in Italy, total disaster in the PL, You may want him to be better than he actually is just now but it's by no means a certainty that it's going to happen.
  5. We need to spend money but probably we need money to spend.
  6. But only in the event of a draw between Palace and Everton this evening, if there's any other result we'd be at least 3 points off 6th with 6 other teams in between. These if we had some bacon we could have some bacon and eggs if we had some eggs calculations are always utterly ill thought out. We are 12th, that's a fact.
  7. But apart from that he's a future England captain right?
  8. Burnt out, poor defence. Too many iberics, take your pick really.
  9. They certainly are combatitive enough, Boruc looking pretty sharp today. If it stays this way I'm not sure José will survive.
  10. But even if they do go on loan it probably won't reduce our wage bill and it won't bring us any money. We only sold for 37 million or so last summer and the vast majority of that has been spent so unless the owner is going to put her hand in her purse again there's no money available, there wasn't last January and there won't be this and I really doubt if there's much FFP space on the salary mass either. We paid our money and took our choice in the summer, now we have to live with the consequences or sell one (or more) major assets. Perhaps we'll let Wanyama go if there's still a market for him, offering not much just now and replacing him may be the way to go.
  11. Bloke was probably an iffy influencable sort, the woman looks likes a really old dragon (even at 28 or so) and she probably egged him on after getting humiliated by colleagues; They certainly had the arsenal required and she looks like a real islamist type of girl.
  12. At least they don't call him half-pint or titch or something then..
  13. Not at 8 milion quid no, he replaced a marquee player perhaps but you always get what you pay for as a rule.
  14. Toby, Nat and Morgan...that's why, 3 class players replaced by well not so class. VVD is alright but he's not Toby, the other 2 have been replaced by far inferior players.
  15. What makes you think the transfer window will bring about much change? We're not selling and I doubt that we have much money to spend otherwise. We already have 2 domestic loans and 16 non HG players so I'd not pin my hopes on the TW if I were you.
  16. Must be in his blind spot...or one of them at least. Really not a very good manager at all, then again neither is his compatriot at Utd, neither was Avocaat at Sunderland. Does PL football really suit the dutch? Who honestly knows.
  17. Pellé not subbed...wow that doesn't happen often now does it. Bet you could count on one hand the number of times he's been subbed since he's been here. A Koeman binky, totally unsubable..
  18. A binky ?
  19. Another teaboy manager will bite the dust then. Why do top clubs keep doing that.
  20. Wanyama hasn't been all there since we stopped his potential transfer to Spurs, when it's like that and the player is a bit of a simpleton it's probably better to let them go.
  21. If we lose at home to Villa they might as well stay there.
  22. Probably why he looked unhappy in whatever echoppe someone saw him in yesterday.
  23. Well no, he was an accomplished player when they bought him, not a myth from Malaga.
  24. Ah there I don't know. Back in the summer I predicted that at some point this season Arsenal would struggle because of injuries and lack of purchases to cover them. We're about to find out if I'm even a bit right because they've got so many injuries just now.
