Is not the commercial side of things exactly where we need more activity? Saw a reportage on the "Champions Cup" just now (it's what made me think on our pre season actually) A routine encounter between PSG and Guingamp of all things in Hong Kong or somewhere and the Chinese are absolutely flocking to buy merchandise and stuff. Now PSG you can understand but Guingamp (because they won an all Breton final iof the Mickey Mouse french cup). I'm sure our new sponsor wouldn't have minded an exhibition game in Thailand or something, we'd get swans, better our global awareness status and they'd get publicity. Won't get any of that playing against Dutch amateurs and Swindon.

On a slightly different note I've just been listening in to hattrick's podcast and Molina was really laying into Krueger again, he's really upset his applecart for some reason or other. Said some strange things but basically it was about the same as his blog article. Maintains rock solid that the club are looking for buyers as outlined but to hear his tone of voice on Krueger you'd think he'd mugged his Gran or something. Anyway his latest revelation was that the famous Morgan tweet was a calculated gesture by his agent, the transfer request suff...well he said that came from the club and nowhere else. At the end he said Morgan will be sold on deadline day and not a minute before just to p*ss him off. How true any of that is I just couldn't say, Molina sounded angry enough to say anything that sprung into his head.

After earlier games against Schalke and Besiktas I think. Really feel that this season's warm up games are a severe let down. Just don't understand it. Bournemouth are probably the best side we've played so far, surely we could have done a little better, certainly if we want to improve our global standing.

Doesn't it close at 11 pm on September 1st actually, so you could in theory be there on 1/9 and still get transferred, 31st August being a Sunday and all that. Anyway I expect it will be resolved long before that.
