Who is ? -
think it will be Monday at the earliest now though.

What like Sterling you mean, no idea why he isn't in their first team, although he did come from QPR at about 15 I suppose.Flanagan also played 20 odd games last season.,

So the delays were just about the club asking for more money....can't be about anything else if you believe the Ben Smith version... Ben Smith I know little about though, Romain Molina a bit more. -

Absolutely, wish we'd just get it over with, Osvaldo is of no use to us as it is, no-one is going to buy him now so whatever it takes is acceptable, even Scheletto, if he's no good we won't play him and he'll cost less to maintain than an Osvaldo in a state of limbo. However apparently Taider is asking for a big wodge from us and no deal has yet been reached on that front. -
2 theories have been proposed. 1) they couldn't stop him because of some contractual arrangement. 2) Koeman thought it good business and wanted it to happen. Which of these is nearer the truth who knows, maybe neither and there's another reason. Whatever it may be the Morgan affair is not over..

None out of seven isn't bad.

Anyway the only thing that we really know is that Taider was in no hurry to leave DC and turn up in Southampton because he appears to be still there with the rest of the Inter players. They're back to Italy during the weekend I think so we may know more from say monday onwards. -

But were still negociating over Schelotto apparently and the deal is not yet definitive. We'll soon see, Taider was in the US with the rest of the Inter players, if he turns up at Staplewood any time soon then we'll know. -

I got the impression that Taider has turned us down definitively actually, wrong end of stick seized perhaps though. -
Proof that you should never give up on shifting your underachievers, Spurs have finally sold/given Falque (remember him!) to Genoa. Not much but it's a salary less;
-
Hah don't you just love Arsenal, their new 2nd keeper that they've just signed from Nice is already injured.
-
absolutely, we're just his annual month's getaway at Marchwood and beyond.

Nothing but most refuse to accept it as possible. The first team we had could have got us towards the top places last season, maybe 5th or 6th.If Boruc,Shaw,Fonte,Lovren,Clyne,Schneiderlin,Davis/Cork,Wanyama,Lallana,Lambert,Jrod had played every game we wouldn't have been far off, even closer with some solid contributions from Ossie and Gaston. It wasn't possible so we had to play garbage, KD,Gazzaniga,Fox,Gallagher. If we'd been able to keep the same base side this season and added the few missing links then our chances weren't too dusty at all. Didn't happen and now we'll have to see where we land.

I saw one whole game, extracts for all, I read the Belgian press about all of the others, perhaps the Belgian journalists were deceiving me and they all had a great tournament. That's why Hazard actually thought it necessary to accept publicly the criticism in the media. Perhaps he deceived himself. http://uk.reuters.com/article/2014/07/30/uk-soccer-belgium-hazard-idUKKBN0FZ1BL20140730 -
He's certainly approached Schneiderlin over Arsenal though :smug: As for Saints he's let his lackies do the work whilst he was on his hols.

in the Dutch league, we shall see what his systems and tactics bring in the cut and thrust of the PL. The two leagues aren't really comparable. Wish we'd had one game against tough opponents to date because we've just played junk so far. All might be rosy but if we find we're miles off the mark against Bayer then we have a real situation on our hands. Unlikely but one real game out of 6 might have helped.

RVP any good was he? Good goal first game certainly, no real recollection after that. Debuchy did fairly well, Lloris as well. -

Don't know didn't see too many of Belgium's games, one perhaps, I know the Belgian public were fairly miffed over him though, expected too much no doubt. -

Apparently talks are still ongoing over Schelotto, should be settled in a few hours. No mention of Taider though. Seems that Inter are determind to fob us off with someone that they don't particularly want to keep if they take Osvaldo off of our hands. Can't quite see what the bloke will bring us that we don't have already but who knows. I really do wonder if we're in control of this situation in any way whatsoever. Did Koeman mention Schelotto at all as well as Taider. -
although Stephens was somewhat older, he'd already played for Plymouth a couple of times I think.

In fact it was quite odd that several Belgians currently playing in the PL had relatively poor tournaments. Dembele and Hazard spring to mind along with Lukaku. -
Good point.

Windows 2.1 was a vast step forward from 2.0, allowed use of 80286 and 80386 processors. Most of you won't remember it though, it was back in the late 80s. Think it was the first you needed a hard disk for as well, you know a solid base instead of just floppys. W2.1 was the first version that I ever had at home.

the system has certainly done wonders at Marseille, Bielsa himself of course not one of his disciples. However it has kind of led to the depart of a 30 year old not very solid player who brought them something else. No room for players like Valbuena in Bielsa systems apparently, still he want a last big move anyway.
