No Judas, Just Poyet - Sunderland Build Up
Window Cleaner replied to Lighthouse's topic in The Saints
It's a case of each to his own I suppose, I am not a fan of lumbering hulks in midfield, for me Cork is more vivacious, passes more accurately and reads the game far far better. -
think he needs more game time actually.

As I said stupid fouls, when a man mountain leans on a little lightweight the ref is going to blow up. -

If you say so but this season VW has started 4 out of 7 and we've lost 2 of those and drew one other. In fact I think we've only won 1 game that he's started this season. Lacks poise and control in my view, slows us down. -

I thought we had difficulty in midfield in the first half at least justly because Wanyama gave the ball away a lot of the time, if not he was committing stupid fouls . I really don't think he's better than Cork, seems to have no poise or class, panics a lot. -

Indeed, can't see where the both full backs were poor come from really, Tadic was subdued and Mané blows hot and cold and looks like a bit of a wimp tbh. Wanyama gave the ball away for most of the first half, needed subbing sooner for someone with a bit of poise and control. -
But Frankie is a performance analyst not a physio isn't she. Pity to see her go though, better job ?

Absolutely, I thought our front men were pretty poor today, an off day for all of them perhaps or just failed their first big test against decent defenders. Nothing whatsover at the sharp end. -

I guess goals like the one last week come at a price, poor for me today and Tadic needs to get inside more, going to bring nothing much out wide, Mané is too greedy. -
He was shîte anyway. Gave away a penalty and let Naismith wander about for Everton's goal.

Is that right ? Oh fark here we go again, shoot at the near post Spurs and fill your boots.

Ah I but I watch the game and turn the sound off. Amazed just how much Coutinho,Sterling and Lambert give the ball away actually.

Anyway his best team is probably half of Saturday's team and half of tonight's. Some of them didn't look great on Saturday. I mean Mason instead of Dembelé or Paulinho isn't very logical.

Seems to be in and out of our starting line up, strange that 2 successive managers have treated him in that way. Must be some sort of snag or weak point that they pick up in their video analysis I suppose.
-
Would be good although it would leave just Bertrand out of what I'd call the first team as a non-international this time round. Cork as well of course but he seems to be first reserve in MF just now. Still you never know, Sick Note Gibbs might pull out before next week.
-
Schneiderlin is the key, guess that's why they wanted him and why we were so determind to keep him. Only one of our midfielders to have played all of the games this season I think.
-
I think what Liverpool certainly and perhaps to some extent Tottenham as well are learning here is that without Saints midfield any player taken from us is just a bit of a spare part. Our success last season came from our midfield, it's still here and we're still doing well.

Well Morgan will no doubt be named in the French squad at 1 your time, don't know when Italy and Portugal announce their groups, today or tomorrow I suppose.
-
I presume that you, in your turn, mean eligible.

all arsenal players are made of glass, part of the conditions to be signed by them, unless of course they have a bad disciplinary record, one or the other or both is what you need..
-
Not to mention Sturridge, think he's missed their last 5 or 6 games as well. Watched Liverpool a bit last weekend and they seemed to be very wasteful in front of goal. Mignolet isn't the world's greatest keeper either, Reina is probably better actually, don't know what's going on there. Their defence is a bit Jekyll and Hyde as well, Sakho dropped, presumably because he can't play right side CB. However their biggest problem is Gerrard, once they realise that he's not up to top level any more and dump him they'll probably be OK.

Think the result might depend on which version of Adebayor turns up actually, if it's the immobile, lazy git that played against the Arse then we should stroll it. Chadli and Lamela are dangerous but with nothing at the sharp end it makes little difference.
-
I see that we've signed a couple of overseas pace bowlers for next season then, Bird and Arafat although the latter seems to be only for limited overs games for the moment.

Factually incorrect all over the shop dontcha know Bear, Orangina is at it's origin a spanish formula, bought out by some french trader or other and subsequently sold to Schweppes who in turn belong to Suntory, so yes they would have sued you. Try slagging off any Coke or Schweppes product on the old SM and see where it gets you.
