MP press conference @ 3pm live on Sky.
Window Cleaner replied to Cestrian Saint's topic in The Saints
Mauricio still has a year and a half left on his current contract, why would anyone be in a rush to negociate a new one. If reports are correct and NC actually resigned 3 months ago much is explained. -
just can't see what difference it will make as long as Mauricio doesn't quit today as well. the players obviously knew that something was going down, some might even had a bit of a hollow period a couple of games back, but that's past now and for the time being I can't see it not being business as usual.

I think it will be OK, see no reason to think otherwise, the players are still here, the manager is still here and as for the sale of Lambert and Shaw that's being speculated upon in another thread I personally don't think the loss of either would make a great deal of difference if we buy what I consider to be a god left back within this window. Shaw is not the world's best left back as of yet and for about 7 or 8 million we could get an excellent replacement.

on the old forum, back in the dark days of the warring triumvirate, continual take over speculation,Jonah, Longshot, Mike Wild posting etc. There was a poster of that name. Never made the switch to this forum it would seem, hated Burley, seemed to know an awful lot about some things.

Milan have appointed Seedorf as coach/manager, now that's experimental enough and it could go either way really. It's about as likely as not that they'll be looking for a new manager in the summer anyway. Pochettino could well be a prime candidate should that situation arise.

He's been here a year now, last May he'd just been here a couple of months and I think he was still living in a hotel somewhere. Now he's becoming accustomed to the way of life, his family are here and he's doing well enough. Anyone can change their mind when a situation ceases to be hypothetical and becomes real.

This thread should be re-titled as "Never mind the bo1lox, here's the football"
-
All of my money or just some of it ?
-
End of an Era... now there was a provocative poster...hated Burley if I remember correctly...what happened to him/her ? I remember someone accusing he/her/it of being Leon Crouch.
-
And for Katerina... Stairway to Heaven. First verse....

If you leave me now...Chicago...or were they still the Chicago Transit Authority then.
-
Don't really believe it either, Traoré has got his work permit and will be signing for them later on today (apparently), they've re-signed Carlton Cole and they have Carroll now, why on earth would they want Lambert as well.
-
Well as I missed all of the excitement yesterday due to being down in Montpellier and having a broken laptop, I've heard nothing, well next to nothing. Is it true that NC resigned because an uncouth tradesmen farted in his lounge whilst renewing the wooden floor?
-
fair enough then, we'll just have to leave the shocking and disinterested looking performances of certain players against Chelsea down to lack of form or New Year's hangovers then.
-
Pros who've bought into the "project", pros who could have gone elsewhere for more money and more status, some will be bitterly despondant.
-
which would explain the woeful performance of some of our players against Chelsea. Said at the time that something unpleasant had gone down at SFC and perhaps I wasn't wrong.

The Sun: Saints looking to sign Diego for 1.6m
Window Cleaner replied to Wiggles31's topic in The Saints
You need to tone down your comments, what on earth has Michu got to do with it, all I've done is point out that the 1.6 million stated is a fraction of the cost we'd eventually incur. -
public knowledge really 16K a week in the NPC rising to 25K /wk in the Pl. His unproductive shift here cost us 2 million £ less the loan spell at Tokyo FC and plus any signing on fee. Tad Lee is just proof of just how good you have to be to be a PL regular.
-
As do most "special case" applicants, apparently they only turned down 1 out of 8 tribunal cases last summer although 2 of the successful applcants then turned down the clubs in question. Don't know how the 5 that did make it turned out for their clubs though. Willian was the only one that I remember in detail.

What De Bruyne ? Can't really understand exactly why his value has gone up even though he's been playing less of late. Too lightweight for the PL methinks, Germany must be the spiritual home of all lightweight footballers, see Holtby is probably on his way back there as well, never seen a player get pushed off of the ball so easily. -

but we won't get him for 1.6 million because we'll have to dob him a shedload of swans for his signature as well. The total cost of signing him won't be much less than 15 or 16 million because he'll want a 4 year contract at a fair old salary. Bloke is a good player, he's not going to sign for us for a couple of bob and a 6 month minimum wage contract. -
Moses is OK, the other bloke is a waste of space, far too lightweight for the PL, let him stay at Seville where he's suited to their style perhaps.
-
Perhaps they're not that desperate...yet. Villa on the other hand......
-
not really, considering the number of high, diagonal balls that they pump into the opponents box in the vague hope that Benteke will get on the end of some of them,as they did against Arsenal yesterday, you could see them signing a Holt type player.
