  1. correct, the have more than enough attacking midfielders. Adam wouldn't get much game time there, look at Kagawa.
  2. the cheek of it, coming onto our forum and facepalming a mod, Griffo was right. Plus I think the point of his questionnaire was that our people go onto their forum and post their replies to the questions and not just trot them out on this forum.
  3. Perhaps but the comparison isn't possible anyway. Wilde did what he could with the personal funds available to him, NC has far more money available and it doesn't come out of his own pocket. Now if Wilde had had the wherewithal to completely take over the club and not have to be content with a 25% share or whatever it was things might have been different, or not.. who knows.
  4. hey all the replies have been deleted, big brother is obviously watching us.
  5. the point being that our squad was superior to theirs when they won the NPC championship, it's nothing to do with what happened subsequently. We lost the NPC because Hammond and KD were atrociously bad in the home game with them. 2 of Nigel's binkies.
  6. well said Sir. Honestly we don't need little runts coming on here and gloating about 3 points that they're going to get even before the game starts. People who go onto other teams' forums are real nonces.
  7. McDermott is currently about a point above Adkins I think. Neither are setting the NPC on fire though.
  8. by Reading and I think they somewhat regretted that decision and are now asking themselves if they may have done better to accept that relegation was inevitable and retain McDermott.
  9. and still got relegated anyway. Not that you can put much of that down to him though, the rot had already set in. He did however (IIRC) waffle on about saving them from relegation.
  10. don't think you can really compare Martin and Gazzaniga because the game is so radically different. In my opinion (and I know it's not widely held or poplular) very few players of the 60s,70s and 80s would be playing their football much above semi-pro level in current times. If that wasn't the case Chelsea would still be fielding sides with 11 UK nationals and not 10 foreigners and Terry. On an average PL game day you must have about what 1 in 4 UK nationals in starting XIs so where have the others gone? they've drifted down the ranks to lower levels.
  11. Indeed, when you want success as a club you have to accept that you need really good players who don't get a game every week. We need a better squad already so moving Cork (or any other player who can come in when needed and do a good job) on wouldn't make much sense.
  12. no it's not a case of dropping anyone, when Morgan was injured for the villa game JWP started with Wanyama, when asked about that afterwards Mauricio said that Jack was a good player (or words to that effect) but that he and Victor couldn't play in the same team. So to me that would mean that they're both limited to a single role and have little adaptability so it's one or the other but never both even when our other DM is out.
  13. he was doing that last week as well, MPo said definitely out for the festive games, what constitutes a "festive game" I just couldn't say.
  14. Why doesn't he deserve that then ? Why were his own fans leaving at half-time? Bloke has lost half of the matches he's played this season, to me that's sacking form whether the owner is a bit of a nutter or not. West Brom sacked Clarke with better results than that.
  15. But he'll be shelved again once Victor returns to full fitness. Apparently they can't play in the same team, no idea why.
  16. Yes he has obtained 1 more point in his 18 games than NA did in 18 last season. Why exactly they would sack Clarke and then appoint a bloke with a lesser record would baffle me somewhat. Still we shall see.
  17. doubt it, he's proved nothing, he's won 4 games out of 18 in the PL, no reason for Norwich to sack their manager and replace him with one of the same standard of achievement. McKay will get a NPC club at best.
  18. well obviously, it's something that Oil Sheiks really understand is fair play. Now winning they understand but not fair play. I mean I've seen today that there's a bloke from Singapour who's willing to buy FC Valence and wipe out their 300 million euros in debt, I mean what's the point in that unless he has some ulterior motive so why should fair play come into the arguement. When you consider that FC Le Mans were wound up by the FFF for debts of about 5 millions there's just no sense in any of it.
  19. well I don't think him moving there is very likely, might not even get a game. Zlatan is god at PSG and if he says Messi doesn't play he doesn't play.
  20. And bookies will not tarry to exploit the unpredictable side of his character by offering odds on non-candidates, of course if idiots want to bet on them that's their fault.
  21. he's only been with them about a month. Flight of bookies imagination again I think, separating fools from their hard earned, wagering on things they know sod all about. Wonder how much they took from punters on the Spurs job.
  22. doubt it, Mauricio said Guly,Victor and Artur were definitely out of the festive games, don't think Boruc will be back in goal until after the cup game.
  23. L'Equipe said a global envelope of 15 million, they're not usually far off the truth, well not compared to the Star or the Mirror anyway.
  24. make that Winston Reid and we might think about it.
  25. Apparently Mauricio scotched all of these rumours after the game yesterday anyway. Also said that Adam didn't even have the whole day off to get married, training, wedding, training for him on Tuesday.
