since Coloccini has been back, yes but without Cabaye in front of the defence they'll be more exposed and as I've never rated Tioté I don't think he'll be as effective as Cabaye. Swansea took the game to them and Newcastle just got blown away and Krul was pretty awful apparently. Newcastle are a Jekyll and Hyde side.
-
Looks like we'll have 8 or 9 games to make up our minds then, for me it depends which Cork turns up, the one from Wednesday evening or the one from Saturday afternoon. Might have been a bit rusty on Wednesday vI suppose or perhaps playing with Victor doesn't suit him that well.
-
Tough game, 50/50 chance I'd think, depends what side we put out.
-
Get down to Reading then, better make it quick though, he's going to be sacked soon. I know you're banned but as you have multiple user names it shouldn't much matter.
-
Newcastle's defence sometimes looks pretty frail, JRod and Ossie might have a field day.
-
I just don't know, it was definitely his 5th yellow of the season and @NUFCofficial seemed to think he'd be out suspended next week-end.
-
can't blame the guy at all, it's like I said the other day, when you're a pretty crap player playing for a crap club in a crap league and someone offers you a big packet of tax free cash for a red card or a foul at a given time then you just take it and don't ask questions. Betting should be banned on low level sporting events. Still most of this stuff is SE Asia based where they still bet on dog fights and slug races.

4 in the league and it seems he got one in the league cup as well, perhaps one got rescinded somewhere along the line.

Newcastle without the suspended Cabaye aren't anything much to write home about. Makes them tick and scores a lot of their goals. On his way to PSG in January so they'll take a nose dive soon. edit he's not suspended then, thought someone said he was. re-edit seems that he is, although it doesn't show up on the FA list, perhaps yesterday's yellow hasn't been counted yet.
-
70K£ for a red card, not bad for Pompey player really, probably got paid faster as well, tax free, not that Pompey ever both with tax.
-
probably because we sent scouts to Rennes St Etienne the other day, I was thinking more along the lines of Hamouma or Ghoulam from that mission. Hamouma is a winger, probably far better than Pitroipa and Ghoulam is probably the best young left back in Ligue 1, highly solicited though, signing him would mean that either Shaw was on his way out or being shifted forward.

we will finish probably 6th but pushing hard for the 5th place. Citeh,Arsenal,Liverpool and Chelsea will finish above us this time. Utd will be upper mid-table, Moyes wll be sacked soon and they'll get a panic manager in. Much will depend on just hw much world cup "stars" start taking it easy from about March onward, I can see all those Belgian boys going into a tail spin, must be their first world cup in a fair while, they'll all want to be there.

Everton if anywhere, or Newcastle to replace Cabaye. Bit of a knob as well, bad influence.

the great advantage of the WUMs (as far as admin are concerned I suppose) is that they're here all day, every day. So it keeps the post count regular, perhaps the forum could get a grant from the Job Centre for letting them practice their communication skills.

what you mean 9-0 to City ?

Gazzaniga what are his strengths and weaknesses?
Window Cleaner replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
In his defence I'd say that Gazza was not supposed to have any bearing on the outcome of our season anyway. How often do your Numbers 1 and 2 keepers get injured at the same time? Frankly I'd rather have Cropper, at least he's played some sort of competitive football in the last 12 months , not very well but he just cannot be worse than Gazzaniga. -
The Hampshire CCC Thread in the General Sports section of this forum. Weston is a leading contributor as he goes to the Rosebowl a lot.

On the training ground Gazza is probably in goal. -
that would be a big ask but I don't doubt he has the talent to be thereabouts. Needs to be relieved of his primary defensive role first though. Kurzawa from Monaco would be my choice, young player and they'd probably let us have him for about 5 million €s.

Weston still posts on the cricket thread, think he's just not content with some of the posting on football threads.

Gazzaniga what are his strengths and weaknesses?
Window Cleaner replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
I have absolutely no idea, he doesn't actually seem to do anything so how can you judge what he's capable of really. Needed to be put out to grass to get experience in the NPC or even League 1, let him learn at some other teams expense. -
Gazzaniga what are his strengths and weaknesses?

Many say the goals aren't his fault but he's never close to saving anything, think he's a bit slow witted. At least Artur would have come out for there first goal and not just waited until it got slotted by him. Don't think the defence have any confidence in Gazza, seem to panic at the thought of him being exposed and then they do silly things as well. I'd still stick Jimenez in goal on Saturday if it's a choice between Gazza,Cropper and him. -
Didn't say he was rubbish going forward, I said that by the time he gets where he's going he's run out of steam for a final burst past his defender. Now if he started further forward that would be counteracted, plus I am known to believe that there are far better left backs (defensively) available. I like Shaw but he's wasted at left back.
