  1. I expect us to sign about zero players from the Championship, think we'll sign 3 or 4, all from within the PL or European sides.
  2. I just don't think he's solid enough for this division. Does good things but usually ends up on the deck or loses the ball after a virulent challenge. Gaston rides those, Lallana needs to do the same. Impact sub next season methinks.
  3. at least Spurs don't have 3 big lumps in their front line to exploit our defensive frailties.
  4. different class,
  5. Great skill but no end product, last ball...or lack of it lets him down. Would do well at the Arse
  6. Indeed, one of the things you most notice when Fox replaces Shaw is that we have nothing on the left side, JRod has to do it all himself with the help of the DMs.
  7. Next week's fixture is more important for Spurs than it is for us. If the Arse should beat Utd today then Spurs will be 3 points off the pace for the CL and their game against Chelsea on on the Wednesday will take on a new dimension. We need to go at them from the off and try to rattle them because they will be easily rattled under those circumstances. I'd bench Lambert cos he'll get nothing from Dawson.
  8. I do feel that we need a Remy like striker though but perhaps JRod will become that.
  9. they'll probably find a taker though, albeit at a loss.
  10. 35 million how come ?
  11. let's say he'll probably never get handed a side with so much ready made talent again. He'll now have to show how good manager he can be and not just point a nucleus of exceptional players in the right direction.
  12. Was he not seen with his foot in a walking cast yesterday ? Just a bit injury prone as likely as not, he'll get over it.
  13. because there's (usually) a box to check or uncheck for that. Failing that a software update.
  14. perhaps he hadn't been approached for it. Wouldn't be my first choice for any "big" job. Really don't think he's all that as a manager.
  15. should never have gone there. He'll get sacked again next season.
  16. Cork didn't actually get any cards though, can't remember him being overly aggressive either. Thought he looked off the pace ,not himself at all. Perhaps there was some off the ball stuff that the TV didn't show though.
  17. yes but the back elbow into a players face/head/throat when challenging comes from the Argentine,
  18. because Lambert wasn't very effective yesterday. I'd have hoicked him off at half-time,same as Lallana. Apart from JRod, who is sometimes over-ambitious and takes out balls that would be better left to others, and players coming in from deep we had nothing in attack yesterday, same as at Swansea. Season is too long for some of the lads it would seem. I know they all want to play every week but squad rotation has it's benefits if you have enough quality in reserve.
  19. doesn't make any sense probably because there's no sense to be made but Under 18 players have an ambiguos contract situation, because they're not on full professional contracts.
  20. it's a totally pointless game, they're both down and probably just want the season to end,
  21. Argentine Elbow, more red cards for it than I've had hot dinners.
  22. thought Cork looked totally out of it today as did most of our players. Season has worn them down I think. Lambert's lack of any ooomph whatsover just made it an easy day for the Baggies defence and our defence just wasn't there.
  23. sunburn then, lad's a bit fragile, maybe the beard growing is tiring him out.
  24. . probably one of those strange people who has to live within a 5 mile radius circle of their Mum.
