  1. Bloody well hope so, they'll learn some decent tactics.
  2. Don't do Xmas so nothing forgotten at all.
  3. Lescott will go back to Everton, don't know why we're discussing him really
  4. 23 or so from 21, about our current average if we'd beaten Swansea and Norwich as we should have done without the gift goals. They are going to come back and bite us in the ass.
  5. Nothing wrong with the squad, can't say as much for the manager's use of them often enough.
  6. Oh right it's a 1970s Lambert is that it, I thought it was the bloke from Miami Vice (not Tubbs). Certainly gave Sunderland's defenders a gift wrapped afternoon on Saturday.
  7. I might if I knew who it was, what's a bloke in a poundstretchers shell suit and a 1970s haircut got to do with Santa,
  8. who's it supposed to be, don't really get it
  9. Hey minus 10, is that good ?
  10. unsurprising, Lambert must have put 10 sitters (OK 3 or 4) either over the top or wide. Probably why he got dropped for the next game. Watching Chelsea at their best yesterday made me realise just what difference clinical finishing makes.
  11. I sometimes get the impression that the less time he has to think and tinker the better it is. I really, really think it's time for a change. Perhap JRod is injured, that would explain him doing an interview when all the others had gone (in theory) to Malta.
  12. they rarely do, players want to play. I was kind of led to believe that the squad spent some time in a warm climate during the break. As there's been no official confirmation of that perhaps it's not true but should it be then the radical change of conditions between a mediterranean climate and Saturday's deluge might make a difference, especially to Mayuka who's all about pace and power.
  13. You're not thinking laterally again Charlie. Now if we tell everybody Lallana is out until late February then agents and clubs will know we need to buy a replacement and will hold us over a barrel on the fees and wages. I'm sure that's the way Cortese thinks.
  14. system was at fault not the personnel. We were hoofing, we do not hoof simply because we do not know how to hoof. Diagonal passes to Lambert were just comical. Normally we get down the wings whenever possible, for some strange reason or other Adkins decided that Cork and Schneiderlin weren't to do that at all on Saturday, look at the games we've won of late they got forward down the sides from time to time to give us another dimension, Saturday they brought the ball forward to about 30 yds out and then as there was no movement in front they had to either go square, back or send in a hopeful RSH ball to a doubly marked player, usually either Ramirez or Puncheon. Now on a wet pitch like Saturday a few balls drilled in low from the sides of the penalty box would have brought far better results than the monotonous diagonal high balls for Lambert to lose out on a constant basis. Good manager would have known that.
  15. Can't disagree with that.
  16. try 3, we're not likely to get anyone in who can play against Arsenal.
  17. New manager, sorry, he's had his chance and we're still getting beaten at home by crap.
  18. [quote=jasoneuelllfanclub;1561748 Get your cheque book out Cortesi. I fear advanced Mother Hubbard syndrome actually.
  19. in the championship ?
  20. Ref was too far away to be really sure of what happened, was 50/50 and as he obviously didn't see he gave the benefit of the doubt to the defender, isn't it usually the other way round? Could have been a penalty though for some refs. Defender definitely clipped Mayuka's ankle but he made a lot of it as well.
  21. Mark Wright
  22. Everton, won't even have to move house. Will replace Distin who'll be pensionned off somewhere, that's the way it works at the top of the PL, you go somewhere where you fit in and the team is competitive, players want to win believe it or not.
  23. I think I shall reserve my forecast for 1 week. Our season will be made or broken in the next 6 days.
  24. "Tinkerman" makes a rod for his own back. In last Thursday's pre-match he said "all of the squad will be used, everybody will get their chance". All that says to me is that he's been told to use the not-even bit part players . We really need to get rid of him, that is all.
  25. Nothing logical about it, Chelsea are 500 times the side that Liverpool are if they want to be. All on fire yesterday and Villa were so sh*t scared of Torres (you know like us with Gerrard) that they just forgot about the other 9. Hazard was brilliant and Villa just didn't have the experience necessary. Lambert will be sacked soon because his youth team will get them relegated, we need to beat them though.
