I don't care, he's not good enough now, nor will he be at any time in the near future. I think many of us have a totally erroneous idea of what it takes to be a footballer in the EPL. Couldn't cut it at Palarse so they've turfed him out, too much for too little.. No future with us either. -
evidently not as good as Cork there as of yet. You've got to be flipping good to play in the PL, most of our development squad won't quite make the grade I fear.
-
We can always go Clyne left and Cork right as well, Davis slotting in alongside Morgan.
-
woah there. He's had 2 friendly call ups, one as an unused sub and then an early sub on when Chiellini got injured. Still managed to get himself sent off all the same. We need to careful on 'international appearances" when his club are asking for 10 million £. Still reckon we can get a lot better for far less.

English players are too expensive for most European sides. Except a few who go to Turkey, they're usually back after 6 months though.

Martin is 23 +, he's not a young player and he's had more than enough chance to prove himself to Nigel who clearly isn't a fan. -

my what a surprise. -
not really, I'd say the same about a Japanese CB arriving directly from Japan. I might even cite T Lee, not that he's a CB though.

Don't you know you've got to rush aroud like a blue-assed fly, give the ball away rather than pass it backwards or sideways and shout a lot to be a good footballer. -

As Nigel pointed out in his interview the other day a lot of these lads are now on a fair old amount of money and their ability probably doesn't match it. We're going to have to either take some massive compensation hits or have them hanging around doing fck all. Don't see most of them getting another game this season. Now if we'd drawn some minnows in the Cup it might be different. -

want to think on that again then ? Bloke isn't good enough for the NPC even, that's why we didn't play him much. -
One season at Everton then. Got Zidane sent off by insulting his Mum or sister or something in the WC final 2006. Which is what I was kind of trying to say, few Italians are present in UK football and a few that have been here have been resounding failures like Aquilaini. As we might need someone anyday if Fonte or Yoshida get a knock or supension there's no real time to adapt we should seriously think about paying 10 million for an Italian defender in January.

Abdennour weren't we linked with him at one time? Just re-signed until 2017 at Toulouse -

Well we're not going to get any PL team's first choice keeper whilst we're in a so precarious position are we. Boruc will do for me, he's as good as we'll get this January. -
Midfield is too weak, if we really want to win it's either Morgan or Cork and one other as a minimum. Think they both might play myself. Richardson will get taken apart which is evidently why Jack Cork was at RB on Tuesday. If we want to win then it's at least 9 first team regular starters in the line-up.

He doesn't need to put his hand in his pocket overmuch, they have some decent players who were badly managed. Looked OK to me against Chelsea. -

of course not, it's just agent talk. These lads have a very limited period to earn their crust on actual transfers so they are unusually active in spreading rumours about their clients. As your average journalist will print anything he hears it's a win win for the agents. -
Just as soon we didn't bother myself, there must be someone else available. Out of interest who was the last Italian CB to impress in the PL?

No Chamakh and Taraabt were not called up, loads of home based and French players in the Morooco squad. Probably a money thing or insurance thing.. If ever Chamakh were to find his Bordeaux form again he'd be a top man for a side that plays Route 1 or 2. A 6 month loan isn't bad for finding out.
-
OK you don't rate Chamakh and you hate West Ham, it's not a problem. I think he may do well for them but then I'm basing that on what he did at Bordeaux.
-
With Jarvis ad Vaz Te getting crosses in Chamakh may well come good. Arsenal's style of play isn't for everyone.
-
foxtrot oscar... think ,about it. Alpha,Bravo,Charlie etc.

maybe last season, this season probably not so much if they depended on results. Failed medicals are becoming more and more common, why on another thread I was explaining about Diamé's heart problems. Clubs must have a hard time insuring them so can't afford to pay mega bucks in transfer fees.
-
Chamakh is good in the air, or he used to be anyway, might suit West Ham. Arsenal play on the deck most of the time, that's why Giroud is only a sub often enough. Wenger has an obseession with French strikers though always buys up the Ligue 1 leading scorer, Gervihno,Chamakh, Giroud but to be fair with the French contract scheme the way it is and the taxes to boot the prices are reasonably low, Chamakh was on a free. French domestic football isn't of a particularly high standard nowadays simply because of outlandish taxation and the gulf between Ligue 1 and the EPL is enormous.
