  1. Doubt if we'll sign another GK for the future, we have Gazza. Boruc will do until then, hopefully in about 3 years.
  2. Unless he can find a reason to bring back his binky Davis.
  3. Red Bull was firmly part of French folklore in the 90s early 2000s.
  4. Made quite a lot of cash out of Red Bull actually. Used to load up on it in Maxi GB near Brussels every time I was up there and sell it to a local'ish nightclub in Lyon. Nearly every Belgian and Italian trucker was flooding French "boites de nuit" with the stuff. My place was illicitly importing nigh on 1000 cans a week. Consumption wasn't illegal, just general sale. Then again the French are funny about things like that, can't buy Aspirins and fags in supemarkets and filling stations here.
  5. Taurine is everywhere in most normal diets, French government tried for years to prove it's nocivity but couldn't. If there was Vietnam vet evidence available to them then they would have seized upon it. They didn't want Red Bull because they're silly old fuddy duddies in the main. Viet Vets will blame anything and everything to embarass the DOD. Most of their problems are psychological(unsurprisingly),drug and clap related though.
  6. didn't know Red Bull was banned in the US actually. I've certainly had some there. Took a long time to get approval in France because of the Taurine but as everybody was just getting it from Italy,Switzerland and Belgium and few were dropping down dead they eventually allowed sales of RB.
  7. but not on the banned list.
  8. what did the Secret Footballer say about all this ?
  9. no, known troublemaker and general idiot.
  10. poofy light balls, a real wet football would have knocked his head off and gone into the goal afterwards.
  11. so would I, don't see much difference between Butland and Gazza myself. Just want to see where we are with Boruc after 5 or 6 more games . Pity that we've seen fit to only introduce him when the window is open. Then again NA's allegiance to KD is frightening. Wouldn't be at all surprised if it hasn't taken another good ass kicking from NC to make the change happen again. Don't hold with the Chairman interferring on team selection but when it gets out of hand and a player who's obviously not up to the job gets picked again and again maybe it's reasonable.
  12. I've seen Becchio linked with Wigan, about 5 million was mentioned but never with Saints so far.
  13. Puncheon's back pass was intentional and beautifully executed, no doubt about that, right place, right weight, right on the ground. Looked easy but it was well done all the same. As for the initial ball from Morgan he needed to slide it forward but it looked to me as if RL wasn't quick enough so Morgs had to try and push it across and back around the defender so that it would be in RL's path and not in too far in front of him.
  14. getting old though, wouldn't fit in with our policy;
  15. Our goal came from a Morgan interception about 25 yards out, chest down and burst forward into the box, can't remember what caused the ball to be loose though.
  16. TBH I thought Cork looked better at right back on Tuesday than Clyne has on a couple of occasions of late. Doesn't get forward as much perhaps but positionally better. I know JC doesn't want to play at RB but it's a distinct possibility.
  17. Guly actually looked pretty good in the tackle on Tuesday, something which you couldn't really say about Lallana. If only Guly could find his scoring boots (at the right end) again.
  18. that depends, think it will be a game between 2 seriously weakened sides myself. To me any Saints sides with the likes of Chaplow and Reeves in it is the reserves.
  19. Everton having no money for transfers is a myth that Moyes likes to spread about. They're always on the scrounge for good quality loans and cheap transfers.
  20. £25 is quite a lot to watch our reserves though.
  21. Chelsea looked like they could well use him last night. They don't have too many CMs, Mikel is injured, Lampard blows hot and cold and Luiz was awful last night. Unless they're buying a CM this window Benayoun might well stay. Just hope that they're not casting their eyes on any of ours.
  22. Didn't notice that Chesea's team was all that weak on paper but with Marin and Oscar it certainly lacked physicality. Still QPR played pretty well and Harry's tactics were spot on. Luiz was pretty useless in CM contrary to his performance against Villa, then again MBia and Granero are in a different register to all those young crappers at Villa.
  23. Just goes to show that English fans, managers and club chairman are always ready to appreciate qualities trumpetted by the press that a player doesn't actually have. Saw Cole play for Lille a couple of times last season and he is a truly ordinary player.
  24. Daily Star ? That's a bit highbrow for them isn't it, more like Beano people.
  25. Cech and Mikel are injured, won't be playing on Saturday either
