  1. wobbly against Utd though, palmed the ball out at Hernandez's feet for Utds first (I think it was their first, watched far too much football lately to be sure) . Most keepers seem to be having trouble with these balls from time to time.
  2. told you yesterday, manager's binky. Admits it himself.
  3. Just need to get the best out of Boruc and he's as good as anyone we may get in the immediate future. Fans need to get off his back and the manager needs to lose his obsession with KD. Change the keeping coach if necessary as well. Those arm outs that he used on Tuesday are top drawer. If the rest of the side get used to them they will be invaluable. Schmeichel threw out like that, Fergie described him as the world's only play making goalie.
  4. Doubt if any club will ever punt really big money on Diamé. IIRC he has some sort of heart problem, pity really because he's not a bad lad, played in the same tyro leagues as my son when we lived in the Parisian suburbs.
  5. Diamé won't want to be a bench player and I don't want to see any change.
  6. He was good against Arsenal, having a better defence nowadays probably helps not to mention a better left side outlet . Usually Cork plays right biased and Morgan left, Davis played left and Morgan right I think on Tuesday, seemed a good plan. I liked our formation on Tuesday, if it was up to me I'd stick with it, maybe even move Clyne forward a notch if I desperately wanted to re-integrate him. Then again I liked Guly's attitude and aggessivity and you can't drop punch just now.
  7. Either of our 2 CMs can play a "Diamé role" if the manager lets them. It's the system that dictates a player's actions. We have been greatly handicapped because Morgan was very quickly on 4 cards and having seen our performance against Everton it was pretty obvious that even a 1 match suspension would be pretty bad news for us. So he had to go 8 games or so without a card whereas the average for a real CM is about 1 in 4. They all get cards, most of them have been suspended at least once, it's an occupational hazard. Cork doesn't get any cards at all, he used to though, a lot, perhaps he was playing in defence at Burnley though, I just don't remember but if you want aggressive CMs then you have to have a replacement system cos they're going to get suspended about once in every 15/18 games.
  8. don't quite see how an extra £5 will change much.
  9. 16? she looks about 45 Why do young people suddenly look so old, I mean Shaw looks older that Cork and Lallana. also what's that white strip under her lower lip about
  10. Both financial directors probably went to Hogwarts as well, seem to be remarkably able to magic up money.
  11. They did indeed, sold a Russian bloke though.
  12. Back in the summer I told you all that Pienaar was going back to Everton because I knew it to be a fact. Nonsense, everybody cried, they've no money. As it happens they did, they have loads of the stuff and not much debt relatively speaking, probably less than us. They like to maintain the myth that they have no money, keeps the fans from getting over greedy and prospective players from doing the same.
  13. Anyone West Ham aren't signing? Thought they had enough players already, still with Carroll gone I suppose a few strikers will be necessary for them.
  14. don't they all. Everyone has to have their own personal Messi these days. Used to be Michael Owen.
  15. wowser, not exactly a flagship signing is it. West Ham might sell Maiga to Newcastle apparently so they'd be looking for a new 3rd or 4th choice striker
  16. Gazzaniga was training with the other 2 in this week's video footage. Perhaps he has an injury that stops him from playing matches
  17. I remember indoor fireworks, used to be pretty habitual in most households come Christmas time, probably just got the wrong end of the stick. We've had 3 or 4 firework related deaths in France this New Year, people getting their faces blown off by illegal bangers from Germany and stuff. 3 or 400 hands sewn back on , not to mention the hundreds of cars burnt on new years eve.
  18. Won't beat Chelsea with that shower. It will probably be the usual first 11 except with Jos in for José and just maybe Davis in for Morgan if Cork isn't at RB. Maybe JRod for RL as well. Jose,Morgan and RL on the bench because they've played the most game time all season.
  19. it's just a thing between 2 Italians, you've obviously never been in rush-hour Rome. They'll probably have a pizza and a spot of Barolo later on, best of pals. Would I be right in thinking they're the only 2 italians in Citeh's effective?
  20. what's perverted about unusual methods to psyche yourself up ?
  21. I meant talks to herself, but I do know her slightly as it happens, we were neighbours in Font Romeu a couple of times. They have a flat there and we have a time share.
  22. It happens in sport, never seen any of those weirdo tennispeople shouting at themselves or giving themselves a sharp smack with the racket. Why I often used to talk myself through rough patches in marathons, Paula does it as well.
  23. NA sounded bit circumspect on Clyne. Expect Cork to continue at RB if we really want to win.
  24. But 1.5 million/p.a is only 30K a week, still too much for a bit part player though
  25. not on Tuesday though. Id like to see us play the same side as Tuesday but with JRod in at the start instead of Lambert, just to see what it brings. Then back to usual against Villa (you have to say that because if not Roger will throw a wobbly ).
