Well I thought we looked OK, doing well in midfield, CBs solid, only trouble is we have a buffoon in goal and a useless lump in attack
-
exactly what I said yesterday although I of course dropped Lambert.

Rich agent though. -
can't get much worse than this season still I shall no doubt watch the Giants game on Sunday. Vick starting apparently, should be better. Jest or Cardinals for him next season ?

although not an expert on Fulham's defensive frailties, I've remarked that most of the goals they concede of late are scored by players who run at defences (Taraabt,Ben Arfa, Defoe, Suarez even Downing) what that don't seem to concede are headed goals and tap ins. So we need to run at them so I'd guess that Gaston and J Rod would be best for that. I like Lee but I just despair of ever seeing him in the first team again. Think he'll be off soon, new season in Japan in March I think.

Right on cue !!

We need pace in attack, Lambert doesn't have any, he also makes us totally transparent, his time has come and gone as a starter.

Davis (not willingly but we won't play Boruc and Gazza isn't fit ) Clyne Yoshida Fonte Shaw Morgan Cork Davis Gaston Puncheon J Rod

All the more reason not to regret not signing him really.. -

would have meant the end of Lambert, that's a step too far for most, including the transfer committee. -
scores a lot of goals in training apparently, Tommy Forecast no doubt made a few saves in training as well. Jamboree bag selection policy last Saturday, transfer window time.

Seahawks, now that's Pete Carroll isn't it USC coach not long back ? Sometimes this season I've come round to thinking that a lot of the old school coaches have lost their way a bit. Everything has become over-intricate and much wood has not been seen for trees. Carroll has certainly turned them around in 2 seasons.

Saints 0 Sunderland 1 - Post Match Reactions
Window Cleaner replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
It's deeper than that. On Saturday we were woeful from the kick off. First thing we did after rolling the ball back from the centre-spot was for José to hoof it forward anywhere to be gobbled up by Sunderland who broke and forced a decent save from Kelv. Then Rickie and Gaston contrived to just give them the ball, then Punch handballed it needlessly, then he fell over his own feet instead of getting a decent shot in. It was all wrong from the off, something wasn't kosher. -
And yet when we "spoke" of Michu last summer everybody seemed to think he was a midfielder. I just wish we had Laudrup as a manager cos he seems to be able to find what he needs in what he has already.

Will Buckley - Brighton to Saints (link in the Mirror)

well seemingly we want so much competiton for places that the players sh@g themselves out in training every week trying to prove that their actual match performance last week wasn't just a fluke. Adkins is just too much, if you don't score 50 goals in training matches instead of preparing yourself for Saturday you're out mate. That's the impression you get listening to his latest interviews. -

but can he defend ? therein lies the question -
No but seriously having seen that JRod strike that was ruled just offside a few games back don't you think "Need some of that"
-
Rather get shot myself, then again I'm a great one for the ladies

NB Powerhouse CMs are vastly overated, if you've got the right movement in front of you, you don't need brutes behind them , plus I think getting cards is seriously frowned on at SFC, perhaps we're trying to get into Europe by the back door. You can see that for the last 3 or 4 games Morgan has been on "no cards or else" instructions, most of the other powerhouse CMs have already been suspended. Anyway I think Morgan may well be on his way soon.

Nope not unhappy about the CBs, I'd still go for a keeper cos I don't rate any of them, all disasters waiting to happen. If we'd had a decent keeper on day 1 we'd probably be on somewhere around 22/ 23 points by now, repeating that would get us home with no trouble.
-
personally I think we could stay up quite easily with help in just 1 position.
-
Mobile target man, that means no more Lambert and anyone who thinks that is a clown according to Roger.
-
I give up, for some Lambert can do no wrong, this is causing major problems, we can't drop him because the fans won't wear it but he doesn't score when we need him to. 5 goals and a penalty in 17 isn't an acceptable rate for a principal PL striker. No way. Insisting with him is holding us back. Needs to be pushed aside and let us see what JRod can do as a main striker.
