  1. Knackered, probably needs a break unless he's looking forward to January for something other than the yellow card amnisty. Did hear a strange rumour but dismissed it as too strange.
  2. I bet he would, subsequently enthralling us with all the details in one of his serialised epics.
  3. Cortese obviously knew he was worth the multiple millions that we were asking for him then.
  4. took a knock about half way through the second half I think, looked to have run it off but who knows really.
  5. perhaps he's a bit uneasy playing with Jos, certainly looked that way in the first few games of this season.
  6. Pearce came on as a sub today, think Mariappa replaced him.
  7. he was there last year
  8. Injured, not good enough, I have no idea, the commentators did make quite a lot of reference to their side being totally unimproved since the NPC though.
  9. I noticed Gaston was harranguing the ref most of the time, do you think that's an exercise the club have given him to improve his English ?
  10. There they might be right, looks clueless. Poor signings as well. I could have told him Guthrie was shîte, unfortunately for him he didn't ask me.
  11. Doubt it, he's getting a regular game with us, don't know if he'd get that at the Arse or Chelsea.
  12. We weren't dire but Reading were totally crap.
  13. But in the PL you're only as good as your next result.
  14. Virtually unemployed but the little he had to do he did in an acceptable fashion. Still gives me the shudders though.
  15. Guess we've adapted to our level now, Shaw looks a vast improvement on Fox and José and Maya look competent now.
  16. Dunno, that Cork tackle in the box could have easily gone Reading's way on another occasion as well.
  17. Not a classic but we dominated them and ran down trhe clock from a long way out. 15th... can't be bad. Lads deserve a few days off.
  18. are we playing a bit longer than usual ? seems to be a lot of longish balls going forward towards JRod + RL
  19. I blame that old bloke what wrote it, H G Wells, could he not live in New York in the 21st century instead of London's suburbs in 1898??
  20. that would be unfortunate then
  21. can't quite see what difference that makes.
  22. one for the future ? at Bournemouth perhaps, he's about 21 nowadays.
  23. I am positive, always am until the game starts....then, well it depends. I must be one of the few to have thought we looked OK last week, bit more punch in front of goal and we would have got something.
  24. Ford's factory in Wide Lane used to be Cunliffe Owen where they repaired Halifaxs and produced Spitfire parts during the war (my mum worked there when she was about 14) Didn't know Saunders Roe was situated anywhere other than the IOW.
