but can he defend ? therein lies the question -
No but seriously having seen that JRod strike that was ruled just offside a few games back don't you think "Need some of that"
-
Rather get shot myself, then again I'm a great one for the ladies

NB Powerhouse CMs are vastly overated, if you've got the right movement in front of you, you don't need brutes behind them , plus I think getting cards is seriously frowned on at SFC, perhaps we're trying to get into Europe by the back door. You can see that for the last 3 or 4 games Morgan has been on "no cards or else" instructions, most of the other powerhouse CMs have already been suspended. Anyway I think Morgan may well be on his way soon.

Nope not unhappy about the CBs, I'd still go for a keeper cos I don't rate any of them, all disasters waiting to happen. If we'd had a decent keeper on day 1 we'd probably be on somewhere around 22/ 23 points by now, repeating that would get us home with no trouble.
-
personally I think we could stay up quite easily with help in just 1 position.
-
Mobile target man, that means no more Lambert and anyone who thinks that is a clown according to Roger.
-
I give up, for some Lambert can do no wrong, this is causing major problems, we can't drop him because the fans won't wear it but he doesn't score when we need him to. 5 goals and a penalty in 17 isn't an acceptable rate for a principal PL striker. No way. Insisting with him is holding us back. Needs to be pushed aside and let us see what JRod can do as a main striker.

Do the players read these threads?

Lescott will go back to Everton, don't know why we're discussing him really -
23 or so from 21, about our current average if we'd beaten Swansea and Norwich as we should have done without the gift goals. They are going to come back and bite us in the ass.
-
Nothing wrong with the squad, can't say as much for the manager's use of them often enough.
-
Oh right it's a 1970s Lambert is that it, I thought it was the bloke from Miami Vice (not Tubbs). Certainly gave Sunderland's defenders a gift wrapped afternoon on Saturday.
-
I might if I knew who it was, what's a bloke in a poundstretchers shell suit and a 1970s haircut got to do with Santa,
-
who's it supposed to be, don't really get it
-
Hey minus 10, is that good ?
-
unsurprising, Lambert must have put 10 sitters (OK 3 or 4) either over the top or wide. Probably why he got dropped for the next game. Watching Chelsea at their best yesterday made me realise just what difference clinical finishing makes.

I sometimes get the impression that the less time he has to think and tinker the better it is. I really, really think it's time for a change. Perhap JRod is injured, that would explain him doing an interview when all the others had gone (in theory) to Malta. -

they rarely do, players want to play. I was kind of led to believe that the squad spent some time in a warm climate during the break. As there's been no official confirmation of that perhaps it's not true but should it be then the radical change of conditions between a mediterranean climate and Saturday's deluge might make a difference, especially to Mayuka who's all about pace and power. -
You're not thinking laterally again Charlie. Now if we tell everybody Lallana is out until late February then agents and clubs will know we need to buy a replacement and will hold us over a barrel on the fees and wages. I'm sure that's the way Cortese thinks.

system was at fault not the personnel. We were hoofing, we do not hoof simply because we do not know how to hoof. Diagonal passes to Lambert were just comical. Normally we get down the wings whenever possible, for some strange reason or other Adkins decided that Cork and Schneiderlin weren't to do that at all on Saturday, look at the games we've won of late they got forward down the sides from time to time to give us another dimension, Saturday they brought the ball forward to about 30 yds out and then as there was no movement in front they had to either go square, back or send in a hopeful RSH ball to a doubly marked player, usually either Ramirez or Puncheon. Now on a wet pitch like Saturday a few balls drilled in low from the sides of the penalty box would have brought far better results than the monotonous diagonal high balls for Lambert to lose out on a constant basis. Good manager would have known that. -

Can't disagree with that. -
try 3, we're not likely to get anyone in who can play against Arsenal.
