  1. And there they are not wrong, I am not enamoured of JWP as many seem to be,nor Davis S for that matter. Too me one is too lightweight(as yet) and the other is neither tough in the tackle or quick enough. I look forward to the day where our MF is Morgan,Corky,Ramirez and one of JWP/SD
  2. Because tobacco companies have always been good at making you think that it's what you need to do. They have been succeeded by fast food outlets who get you to eat their crap.
  3. nice article but it just says basically that we're a good side with a shît defence and that our wingers don't track back well enough.
  4. Einstein was a big smoker, don't know about fags but he was a real pipe fiend.
  5. so you're one of these 'giving up smoking is easy, done it lots of times' people then.
  6. not really
  7. So then, watching the Iggles is hard work just now but at least it's not boring like watching the Pats. Is it just me or are there far more interceptions all round this season?
  8. So in all not a bad deal for the nation, after all people are free to choose. Whack a bit more tax on gambling as well, that may even cure a few of that as well.
  9. Could be applied to 50% of modern footballers that, and not all of them from outside these fair isles.
  10. ah, so you're telling me in a roundabout(or circuitous) way that you deliberately used fare instead of fair.
  11. Now that's a homonym of fair right? So in this case you could say that it's a fair old fare for the priviledge of rubbing oil into Kate's knockers, and not necessarily fair on the public purse.
  12. Anyway I don't see him coming to SMS at any time in the near future. No need anyway, there's not much wrong with the Saints that a decent keeper won't sort out, even our CB frailties would be lessened if they had someone behind them that they could rely on in a difficult situation.
  13. Anyway for Villa I hope we go back to the usual formation with Ramirez in the advanced role and Morgan back to his usual spot in front of the back 4 for it seems to me that in the first half against the Arse it was Davis in front of the back four and Morgan in a more advanced role. If Cork was available that would be good cos despite the collective hysteria I'm none too convinced by JWP as yet, maybe a 60 min sub role for him this time. So for me: Anyone with a pair of keeper's gloves other than KD Clyne,Fonte,Yoshida,Fox Morgan Ramirez,Cork Punch Lallana Lambert
  14. what pointless like sacking AP or loaning out Billy Sharp you mean? You never can tell at SFC these days.
  15. Not so, I said last April/May that we needed a new number 1 keeper or at least a contender and got the old "Don't be a c**t,KD will be just fine" from a whole lot of posters. Do they not watch matches? they're probably too busy sending texts or worrying about whether the Itchen North are keeping up with the OWTSGMI rhythm of the day. It is wholly evident to anyone who watches Saints matches in detail (and that probably includes our current opposition's coaches) that KD has some very very apparent weaknesses and you just need to exploit them early on and our straw house crumbles. A team is only as good as it's weakest link.
  16. Well on Tuesdays he goes to get his pension and on Thursdays it's the old folks tea dance.
  17. I don't know about Puncheon in particular but having now watched the game in full it strikes me that we were all at sea from the off. Don't see Lallana losing 2 balls so simply within a few minutes of the kick off like that very often. I blame the IB myself, but then that's probably because I hate them and we're usually dire straight afterwards.
  18. The modern method for those who don't like dodgy streams or just can't access them is to listen in on Player and be on the TSW match thread at the same time. Slag off DM and post some naughty nuns, excellent way to pass an afternoon for those who can't watch the match. As for the abroad bit virtually everyone who listens in and is on the old TSW is an expat. Get amazing weather reports from Trev in Vancouver and Eric of Arabia, encourage Ohio saint to sneak down to the garage for a lucky fag, it's a truly cosmopolitan affair.
  19. bet there were plenty of Arr Sols in it though.
  20. I get Saintsplayer, same as everyone else cos it's on the internet. Now that we're in the PL we'll be on TV pretty regularly as well but you have to have Canal+ for that and it's not particularly cheap, don't know how it compares to Sky.We get about 5 or 6 PL matches every Sat/Sun/Mon. If you live in a big town or city where the internet debit is high enough for you to be able to watch the TV on it then you usually get an all in subscription with your telephone package (Tripleplay as it's known, Telephone,TV,Internet) still have to subscribe to Canal + though but you don't need an aerial or satellite dish. All the major operators do this, Orange,SFR,Free,Bouygues.
  21. I don't even know what GCSEs are, is that O levels or A levels. Don't you get a make your own A grade certificate in boxes of Cornflakes nowadays?
  22. Wouldn't that be admitting that your own coaches aren't up to the job.....which may be about right actually.
  23. You'll never walk alone comes from a 1950's musical comedy called Carousel (no it wasn't written by Gerry and the Pacemakers and has nothing to do with Liverpool). I think the story is about a dead bloke who asks to be sent back from heaven for 1 day to atone for past errors, evidently he meets some hot girl (well for the 50s anyway) or other and when it's time to leave up springs You'll never etc etc. So I hope that the original author has waived his fees as well cos otherwise fans thinking they're helping out by downloading this song will just be putting more money into the pocket of either a very aged Hollywood songwriter or his descendants.
  24. Cork won't be back then? I'd think he'll replace either JWP or Davis.
