And to be frank they couldn't be any worse than Sharp's on Saturday. You might get away with soft, you might get away with inaccurate but soft and inaccurate....no chance.Only way he could have scored there was if the keeper went the wrong way but as his run up had a 2nd class stamp attached to it not much chance of that either. Awful, awful penalty.
-
Or David Peach, great penalty taker, preferred to Channon,Holmes,Osgood and McCalliog. Accuracy is paramount, which is why Billy didn't score on Saturday. If you're going where he did you've got to get it inside the post otherwise it's a gimme for the keepr. He was about a yard shy so that's inaccurate. Some place, some blast but to score you've got to put it where you want it to be not a full yard away.

no point in argueing with you is there then. You think it's a load of rubbish, I know they know. End of discussion.

Carroll was worth 35 million because Torres was worth 50 million, if Torres had gone for 10 million, Carroll would have been worth 7 or 8. In football you've got to spend nigh on everything you get for 2 reasons. If you don't the fans will moan if that isn't an obstacle then HMRC will have any excedent off you. Plus there's VAT on footballer transfers you know and you have to even that out as well.

But that's just the whole point of what I've said. If the information is aired on here, in the papers,on twitter or facebook or whatever then it becomes common knowledge and eventually the source can be traced down as it no doubt was in the case of leftback and I've a suspicion that VMAN was asked to rein it in a bit as well. If the information is just destined for specific ears or eyes and doesn't become public then the source is rarely exposed. If Pompey's staff want to know about Rickie or Frazer or whoever they will have a way of finding out because they will have either been given the information voluntarily by a "well wisher" or they will know who to ask. It's a simple social network but a very private one.You just can hide stuff like player fitness from prying eyes.

Just needs to show the keeper his tattoos.
-
Probably the only Saint to have scored 3 penalties in "international" matches. Takes nice free kicks as well but doesn't ever get the nod for us, the pecking order seems to be Rickie,Foxy,Morgan,Guly.
-
That will be decided before and by the coaching staff though.
-
Nope, practising doesn't count for very much at all,it's match conditions that count.Depends if we're ahead or not. If Rickie isn't on the pitch and we're 0-0 or worse it will be Fox or Morgan. If we're 2 up it will be Billy.
-
Carroll's at Liverpool isn't he ? Until they get a modern manager and not the dinosaur that they actually have no one can say who can improve and who can't.Forget not Anders Svensson and Chris Baird.
-
Who knows? who was leftback? who is VMAN? (well i think we all know how he knows if not who he is) .People in clinics, construction site workers, not everyone who works for the club is a Saints fan. Believe me (and I've worked in 'intelligence circles') you'd be surprised how people give away information without even knowing it. the club control information being made public pretty well but that's not to say they keep it all from prying ears and eyes.
-
Because someone will have told them. It's not something that's difficult to find out when you're on site. Remember left back!!!! If you don't broadcast the information to all an sundry no one will be any the wiser.
-
It's usually Friday morning before they even put those up nowadays. There'll be the presser tomorrow after training I expect so there might be something on Solent or in the Echo from about 11.30 onwards.Don't see why they bother really, Portsmouth will already know who's fit for Saturday, who's iffy and who's out. It's just the supporters who don't know.
-
Well they could and they should if that's what's been decided but as you say they won't.

I watch a lot of PL football and I'm sorry to say that in my personal opinion at least half of our players won't be good enough for the PL.To me only Morgan,Cork,Adam and Lambert will definitely be able to adapt,José and Jos are possibles but I see them getting torn apart by the Chicharitos,Cissés and Rooneys. Everybody says look at Swansea, look at Norwich but they've both strengthened in key areas, notably Swansea,Vorm,Caulker,Routlege,Graham and Sigurdsson weren't with them last season I think. That's at least 5 starters out of 11.
-
but the PL is something completely different.Think we'll be needing to look at new full backs on both sides for next season.Don't see why we can't the push Fox forward to LM and play Adam on the right.
-
Looking at their remaining matches it's pretty difficult to see exactly where they might get points in April, still if none of the other bottom 5/6 get any much in April the games in May against Blackburn and Wolves might help them out.
-
I've been to Wigan and believe me you can
-
Club rules just wouldn't let them.We don't do info like that. Viz Jos says he cooked Chung some spicy chicken the other day, did he mention his foot whilst he was at it? did he bolloaks.
-
Danns is neither very young nor very talented, we passed on him last time,no doubt we'll do it again.
-
We've never played at Wigan but we did play them in the Cup in 86 (or so I think) Remember going to the game at the Dell, commuted from Mons for virtually every home game that season.
-
as if they'll reply to that with a straight yes or no.
-
Whatever happened to football special trains then? I suppose privatisation signalled the end of them.

saw a woman with a chain-saw today.
