  1. you well might, you don't have to keep us there with a pretty small squad, trying to get the best out of every fit player game after game, especially with 2 dodgy keepers on your hands.
  2. not so much, just under a year ago the average at Man U was about 51K/wk,Arsenal a bit over 50K and Liverpool at 48K. Plenty of players still under 20K/wk basic in the PL,
  3. I meant rather Stevens and JWP plus a defender of some ilk. I haven't done the maths myself though.I fully expect to see Doble, maybe even starting with Connolly.I also expect us to rest Lallana and have Cork on the bench.
  4. seeing the injuries and suspension we have at the moment the young players will be necessary to fill out a 7 man bench. Doubt if many of them will see action though unless we're cruising 4-0 at half-time. Guly,Lambert,De Ridder,Fonte,Chaplow,Barnard are going to miss out seemingly.Dickson is out on loan, take a quick head count and see if you can get to 18 without the kids.
  5. Have we not said that we're just not interested?? I thought I heard that on Solent, you don't refuse Saints and get another bite of the Cherry with NC I'll be bound. Anyway we've got Tadanari San.
  6. Ah,I don't know, they're 4 points off the play-offs and results are getting a bit better, don't think they'll be automatic contenders but they might have a squad to steamroller the play-offs by then.Which is why staying out of the play-offs is primordial for us.
  7. Won't do them much good though unless they make the play-offs.
  8. In fact I would doubt that any player gets a base salary exceeding 20K/week at SFC. With bonuses (when we win) they might make a good screw but if we lose to Brizzle or Donny the old pay packet is slender. Anyway what happened to 20K a week and I'm yours that we read about Sharp a few days back...inflation??
  9. Neither of whom will probably be in the PL beyond the end of this season, still parachute payments should pay for the likes of Johnson for a couple of weeks. This is a fault of so many premier league clubs, the time to strengthen is in the summer when you've got a clean slate not on the 31st January when you're in the crapper.
  10. Compared to the deal we got from the Gobern tribunal hearing we got off extremely lightly on Dickson. No doubt there would be something payable for games played if we loan him out as well.
  11. Noticed Doble on the build up videos, certainly a candidate for a game tomorrow.
  12. why Cork out of interest, probably the one of the 3 most in need of a break. Morgan was suspended for the last game so I'd guess he'll be the one of the 3 to play in this game,if indeed it's any one of 3.
  13. Probably because he's a bit of a nutter and just spouts weird shîte on every thread all day and most of the night. Used to be an OK bloke though, banking crisis did for his business I think and his head must have exploded.
  14. Not Nigel though "The opportunity has come for him to come in and train with us with a view to try and sign him. The work permit situation is going to take a period of time because we have to work through that."
  15. the pressure of keeping a promoted side at the top of the NPC for over 3 months are probably digging in a bit. If we were mid table and winning 1 game every 2 he might be a bit less intense.
  16. What can you expect, expectations always run too high for our coffers. Still wish we were hearing rumours about a keeper or a central defender though.

    Lallana

Probably because Adam is like an important component of your car engine, when it's working perfectly you don't notice it or ask questions, when it's off sync and the car struggles to get up the least gradient you stick your head under the bonnet.
  18. Good for him, better to be playing in League 1 than scrubbing about in the "development squad"
  19. wouldn't know, never have any money left to deposit, whatever the wife can't spend she gives to them pesky kids who are masters of the game of spending. Louisiana Lafayette sees more of my money than I ever will.
  20. The Texans have had a decent season, Is Schaub in the running for the play-offs or is he on IR for the season,a very unsung quarterback.
  21. what would we want with an old crock like that unless it's bench material just in case.
  22. It involved Morgan being sold to Aston Villa but as I said yesterday the source wasn't very reliable, but it did say Punch was having future determinant talks with NA yesterday to see whether he'd be re-integrated into the first team group today.
  23. That can only be good news, maybe the report I read wasn't so far off base at all then, hope the second part doesn't come to pass though.
  24. Hasn't Bill Green been with us before, wasn't his dismissal one of leftback's hobby horses?
  25. And the first one that gave Brighton the lead. Once you go behind you have to take risks that you don't when you're all square.
