  1. Fact finding missions in Mauritius,the Caribbean and other sunny winter watering holes.
  2. With all those storms that are predicted the ball won't even bounce on the Nottarf cabbage patch. Looking at the freak goal again i'd say he expects the ball to bounce up again but it doesn't.Groundsman needs to sort the pitch out
  3. Plus it's not like Leicester are getting consistently better is it.Mind you when Mills gets sent off every 3 or 4 games it can't be helpful can it.
  4. Now if you tried that with me in charge of the TO I'd simply strip you of all the tickets and tell you to p*ss off out of it,probably take a couple of months to refund your money as well. You tried it on, it came back and bit you in the bum so just be a little respectful when you go down there on Wednesday eh.
  5. Wouldn't it be great if TT muddled them into the AFC championship game,did for the Pats in OT and then threw 600 yds and 12 TDs against those ***** from Green Bay at Indiannopolis!! You're right, won't happen. Play-Offs will still be a good season for them though;
  6. Oh the corporation buses;don't travel very fast they weren't built for comfort, they were built to last. to the tune of the Woolston Ferry.
  7. That can't be right now can it.
  8. Yes I'd thought about that already, hope they're not just bullsh*tting though cos ,surprising as it may be,people bullsh*t about everything on this forum. I bet there's at least 1 person posting as "on the bus" on this thread that isn't and won't be.
  9. perhaps th TO read your post where you said you didn't qualify for a ticket but applied anyway? that would require organisation and knowledge beyond their powers I think so you'll be OK eventually.
  10. most of the polls get trolled anyway. Have you never noticed that folk who don't go to games still vote on the MOTM thread? Bart even got about 9 votes for MOTM on Saturday.
  11. Neither shall I unless I get a miracle ticket from somewhere this week, pity really as I'm in the UK on Sat/Sun/Mon next week.
  12. That would be the esteem of 35 million deltas and epsilons,give or take a few.
  13. So you sell on the 5 extras,there'll be plenty of takers;
  14. But Corky, the others are in no better posture than us and they need more points.If the results go our way next week-end we could be 7 or 8 points clear of 3rd again at Christmas,then we have 2 winnable games.I've looked at a couple of schedules and can't really see any iof the others making up enough ground to trouble us.Having said that our season could well turn on the home game with Cardiff.
  15. Spurs song used to be sung to the tune of John Brown's body. Don't know why they've changed.
  16. that's what you get from having a neophyte Prime Minister with no clear majority to rule. The elder statesmen of Europe have seen jumped up idiots like Cameron before and know how to handle them. At least Blair had some sort of standing in the political community.Cameron....well I guess he ranted and raved and said "well I'm off then" and the Franco-German couple said "Go ahead,make our day" to quote Inspector Harry.
  17. I've seen the highlights on player, very strange stuff from Bart. Seemed not to anticipate the bounce of the ball at all. Supposing that they use the same kind of ball in training and practice you'd have to wonder if it's the silky surface of SMS that throws him. Look at the Morgan half volley, he takes about 3 cubic metres of turf and sod out when he kicks the ball, other actions are similar so i can only surmise that either the ball or the actual playing surface causes them problems. NB, If Bart manned up and wore shorts it's not sure that the ball would go through his legs.A good strong pair of shorts would probably stop it so faibly hit is the shot.
  18. I have just looked at the Brentford Post match Depression thread from this time last year. The usual suspects were laying into Kelvin for the 2 goals, one a howler, the other not far from it.They were of course also laying into their usual favourites,Morgan,Hammond,Guly etc.Why even SRL got a mention in dispatches.Trouble is some amongst do not understand modern football,they think Paine and Sydenham would be the answer to all of our problems and that the crunching tackles of yore are still highly desirable even if they would meet with an instant red card.
  19. Yes I do,we may have done less well in our last few games but the rivals haven't done much better. It's a tough league full of sides with some decent players who may or may not make a difference on any given day.Having seen Reading-West Ham yesterday I thought that getting a point at Reading looks like a real result and yet they're hovering just above mid-table.I think it's a league where getting points on the board early will make a great deal of difference at the end of the season. Bookies seem to think roughly the same, think we're favourites for the title again now but for some strange reason or other West Ham are at a shorter price (slightly) for automatic promotion.
  20. Hemp probably,side effects are pretty obvious
  21. Why would we sign Antonio,we'll have learnt our lesson from signing Forte surely. Mind you if Reading don't want that Church lad ...well we should.Just what we need.
  22. We could always sell or even give him back to Brentford, the 150/175K or so that he cost us can easily be written off, we're paying that much for youth players at the moment.Whether we pay him not to play or pay him to leave is about the same thing.
  23. Of course he can be serious, I kept telling the forum that Dickson was a pile of steaming stuff last year, but no they all said, you're a nutter,you know nothing he is amongst our best players and yet...................People have opinions about players,a particular aspect of a player's make up that pleases or displeases but at the end of the day it's the manager who decides...cos he knows more about football than most but with supporters,well sometimes it's about running around a lot and kissing the badge or even being a stand up comedian on Twitter and Facebook..
  24. Our fans are quick to react aren't they.Was that the Northam or the Chapel today?
  25. Strange all this Chaplow love in stuff, he's only started 8 league games and he got sent off in one of those.In another he lasted 5 minutes. He made a great deal of difference once he was put into RM for the Boro game but before that he was so so.
