All very confusing, fortunately I've to head off to work soon so I'll look in at my lunch-break perhaps,if I can get coverage on the Plateau de Bure, not always possible.
-
Hasn't some super boy from South America just failed to turn up to sign his contract at Arse??? Joel Campbell ?
-
Surely whether he gets into a Prem side would depend on how he performs in the Carling Cup or whenever he gets a run out from the bench. You know I'm not so sure that very many players might be content with a 30 minute run out in the EPL every week rather than 70 or 80 in the NPC.
-
errrr Mrs The 9 ??, but then I don't do Facebook so I couldn't be sure on that.
-
Right, church clock's just struck 10 (meaning 9 in the UK) so where's this kit then???
-
It's not a question of taking anything away from anybody, for me Le Tissier scored xxxx goals and yyyy penalties to make a total of zzzz. I see all players that way because I personally think that it's the right way to look at it.
-
At least I'm not the only one who separates penalties from total goal tally then.Who's better (or more valuable) a striker who scores 15 goals from open play or one who gets 2 from open play and 13 penalties. Players who get fouled in the box to "win" the penalty don't even get an assist to their name.Yet they did the hard work, got taken out and some other player gets all the credit for the goal just because he slots it past the keeper.

Isn't there a game this week? U21s against Eastleigh, will they be wearing the new kit? Or will the MLMC be it's first outing against Werder who play in green if I recall correctly. nope it's Totton not Eastleigh this week.

i really don't know if Arsenal are going to put in a bid that will meet with the terms that we (seem) to want. Arsenal are being very pinchpenny at the moment, the Gervinho transfer got held up because Arsenal and Lille were squabbling over who paid a few quid to the player's formation club (maybe Le Mans or even some Ivory Coast outfit,I don't know). Thing is in a 12 million euro transfer they were squabbling over few quid.Arse are bringing another boy wonder in from Colombia, plus the Spaniard they signed in May and desperately need first team players as well.Think they're signing another young central defender from Belgium or Holland as well, plus Jenkinson (is that it?) from Charlton, all these million quids here and there soon add up,especially when you need a lot of first team reinforcement.
-
Haven't heard that, Antoine Koumbouare is the coach there and they've just appointed Leonardo as Sporting Director, can't really see Wenger wanting to work with Leonardo who'll no doubt be appointed head coach as well as sporting director the very instant PSG don't win 10 matches in a row by at least 5 clear goals.

I think so yes, I'm sure Cortese spoke of it soon after the January window, one of his ST holder's dinners perhaps.
-
All we really know is that Cortese threw Liverpool's faxed "offer" into the bin.So whatever was written on it wasn't convincing enough, tends to indicate that the bar is fairly high.

trouble is no one will give us 10 million for him,not straight out and that's reported to be what we want.
-
Thing is the tournament lasts nearly 4 hours,by the time you've got there a bit in advance you'll probably be in the stadium somewhere around 4 and 5 hours. So you're probably going to consume something or other, club will make extra money from on site sales so I'd think that they could have kept ticket prices down to 12/13£.Going to be an expensive day out really, especially as we're likely to play a lesser side in one of the games and Bilbao are only back in training this week and will be probably be desperately shîte,remember us at Biel?
-
No wonder he was crap then, Bog Cleaners at Nottarf used to get 14K a week.
-
About 5 years younger though.
-
Now it would seem to me that MLT actually signed for Chelsea or Spurs but the Mrs MLT of the time made him change his mind, probably why he eventually divorced her and wandered off with an Australian Soap star I guess.
-
Ibrahima I guess, don't think any of the others have ever played for Skate, Stoke player ?
-
I guess he could hand in all the transfer requests that he wants, wouldn't change the asking price or the terms of payment.Just lose his cut that's all.
-
Have a guess then. Clue bought a world cup,Malaga and now PSG.
-
Money alone won't do the trick what he wants (or at least what his old man seems to want) is global recognition.Same as many many other 17 year olds who are moving about the footballing world for millions of £s. I sometimes get the idea that Theo Walcott is the bench mark, if Walcott did it then Chamberlain Snr wants it for his boy at the same age. Trouble is Lowe took any deal offered to him but Cortese wants to be considered as a hard man in the transfer market......full payment in advance if you please.
-
That would not please QPR fans Taraabt out for 15 million,Puncheon in for 500K, good business though.
-
Under 20s world cup starts in Colombia very shortly, that'll be the real cattle market of the summer, anyone useful and cheap will no doubt find himself with a decent contract by the end of it. All the old favourites will be down there with piles of standard contracts just ready to be signed on the dotted line, no doubt there will be plenty of agents as well to try and make a few bucks from them.

St Richmond has been an "ultra contestataire" about anything he gets a bee in his bonnet about for a long time, one of the first ultra anti-Lowe pundits together with another poster who doesn't seem to post any more. Between the two of them they preached that Lowe was leading us down the road to ruin long before it became evident to all the world, and this was back at the start of the decade, after the stadium but before Strachan. Now with Lowe gone it's anything else about SFC that displeases him I guess.

this is all to do with the gentryfication of football, old fogies who want to sit in the same place, with the same people for 2 hours on a Saturday. I guess it comes down to fear of the unknown which is fairly prevalent in the elderly(and some are elderly already at 35). What would these people have done if they'd been forcibly shipped off to a foreign land full of nasty diseases and nasty people trying to kill them as men were 70 years ago, probably have spent all their time complaining about not wireless access and having to slum it I guess.
