Liverpool are a very poor side at the moment because of the imbalance between attack and defence.Torres clearly isn't interested any more and Gerrard is just a waste of space. When those 2 aren't performing they are a very very ordinary side,beatable by any other Prem side.Which is why Comolli is desperately shopping around for players at a reasonable price who can play now and not in 3 years time. Sylvain Marveaux is their latest target ever heard of him?? no? I thought not . Today's Liverpool aren't yesterday's Liverpool if you see what I mean.Whereas Saints are still by far superior to the likes of Exeter and should win if there are no individual errors..

but midfield players just have to get cards from time to time. It's a real combat zone in this division.Take a look at the stats for League 1. I don't doubt that apart from the real psychos all the regular offenders are in CM. Chappers and Morgan both got booked for fouls on Pilkington on Tuesday,I think both of theirs got cards for fouls on Guly.A card every 3 or 4 games is about par for the course in CM in League 1.Morgan took one for the team again because Pilkington was clean through,even Merrington who usually grannies on about card getting said it was a "good foul". Puncheon last season got a packet of cards when he was in CM for Dons, then not so many when he was on the wing for us.

I really don't think there will be many more signings, what are we to do with them?? A striker maybe but that's about all.We don't have much roster space unless we want blokes hanging around doing nothing.If there are many more in then there'll have to be outs as well.

If Liverpool were looking at us on Tuesday I doubt that it would be for AOC, Lallana maybe and Comolli was a known admirer of a certain midfielder of ours who he may believe could be had on the cheap just now.Comolli likes French (and francophone) players, he took Kaboul and Taraabt to Spurs (and they both have the same agent as said midfielder of ours).

probably won't get a game, don't think he's a regular starter. Harley is their danger man but I don't doubt that Deano and Richardson will deal with him effectively. Probably a booking for Deano in store though.

I watched a bit of Liverpool Wolves yesterday and I wouldn't think more attacking players is Liverpool's priority, their weakness is in midfield and in the build up to attacks. So if Comolli was at SMS on Tuesday I'd tend to think he was looking at players other than than Ox.Player's who'd probably cost less and fill more immediate needs. But then Hodgson is a shît manager (not at all saints related)

soon there'll be so many manager vacancies in the NPC that they'll have to hire Poortvliet or Wotte.

that means that 3 NPC teams are currently without a manager, that can't happen all that often.

No doubt,but one of the club's main aims is to create a talent pathway between the academy and the first team. If there's no outlet because the path is bunged up with Wottons and Forecasts it defeats the object.

I would very much doubt that, Barney may be a better striker but I'd think Gully was a better all-round player.

But surely you can't make a loan permanent outside of the transfer window can you? That would kind of defeat the object of the window surely?
