Bournemouth will probably not be in the play-offs. However it is interesting to look at their away form. They have W1 D5 L3 of the 9 matches played, they seem to be playing percentage football away from home.Whether this will be enough who knows.

yep, Billy Davies's comments on the deal are slightly amusing.

Don't cite Mourinho, he is one devious bastard,he does what's best for his club, which is why he's the subject of a UEFA enquiry concerning voluntary sendings off. Some football fans do over simplify things, Blackpool right, probably going to get fined for fielding a weakened team. Real football management is complex and is not for simple minds who think winning every game is what you need. You have to play the percentage game sometimes. -

I am worried that we are overplaying AOC and that we have left ourselves without many options by loaning players out.Our injury list seems to be rocketing again, perhaps that's just normal 20 odd games into the season. -
As you like, I'm not convinced by NA as yet.

no it should be to obtain enough points to obtain automatic promotion, you don't need to win every game, you need to get roughly 90 points, ie 48 less than maximum. Winning at home, drwaing away is largely enough. Any manager who doesn't work on that basis is a fool. -

He'll probably leave anyway. I have no precise information on the fact but I am sure that he was particularly upset when he came back from a 2 game international outing where he performed really well to find himself dropped. He's young and that would be a real downer for him.I don't doubt that moves are already afoot to extract him from the club. -
Puncheon, well he didn't exactly tell me himself but you know what I mean.I really don't think his management is all that great, you don't drop returning internationals just for the hell of it. It's just a personal opinion, I am wont to express it from time to time because this is a discussion forum.

not really the same Verlaine, but then I suspect you knew that. Paul-Marie rather than Tom,

Now you can have an irregular cadence in harmony, I'm sure that there is some great work that is known for it.Then again I'm not a musicologist.

My thoughts ??? AP managed 83 points with the team we had despite an awful start. This team is no better because NA has been tinkering with it when unnecessary and ****ing players off.He needed to get what he had available playing for him as did AP. Not sure that I really rate NA at all. We shall see.

But then I'm a bit of a free-thinker as was Verlaine.Pity most people only know his work for the old 'sanglots des violins de l'automne" jibe. Strange choice of lyric by the wartime high command, perhaps he was a favourite of de Gaulles's.

But NA had overweakened the midfield for some stupid reason or other and we were in danger,so we bring on a bit of steel to close it up, didn't stop us getting forward because we had one too many attacking player on already. -

Where do you get the idea that we played for a draw from, evidently not. When we should play for a draw is games like Carlisle away, play 4-3-3 and just shut up shop, never mind all the gong-ho charging forward from midfield, it's suicidal. You get a point and move on to the next home or easy game and score a shedload. It's called football management. We need 90 points,46 games, win at home, draw away easy peasy, you have to know when to try to win and when to try not to lose. Not sure that Adkins does though. preferred AP in that respect, we will eventually regret his departure. -
But if you say 25 goals from 50 games, that gives a mean goals/game rate and it becomes a cadence,1 goal from every 2 games; Now compare that to 1 burger every 30 seconds, the cadence of a MacDonald's putter upper, he doesn't make exactly 1 burger every 30 seconds, sometimes it's 2 in 25 seconds and then another in the next 40 or whatever, it's still a cadence in the French (and true because the English comes from it in Norman times) usage of the word. No loans no, don't expect any, loan cadence per day today= zero.

We are (I think) 9 league goals down on the same stage last year, despite our horrific start that time. That would translate into a shedload of points. When you look at it objectively 26 league goals from 18 games isn't great, take away the 3 times we've scored 4 and that leaves 14 goals from 15 games. No striking crisis???f*ck off. -

who's going to top them then?? We should be top but we aren't, not many better sides (other than us) than Brighton in this league. We should be p*ssing it,but Brighton are showing us how it should be done. They'll get automatic promotion...with us. you just can't argue with their record, they've lost 2 games out of 18 and won 10. Once they got Poyet they were on a one way street. -
And far better causes than making bookies even richer

There certainly is, now in the French language cadence is a word that means rhythm or allure. It is used for anything that has a basic rhythm to it, like the speed of a production line " la cadence infernale de la chaine de production chez Renault". Cadence is a word adopted into middle english from Old French, from the Latin root cadere, which means roughly "falling" as in the falling of footsteps. But as in many cases the English have only adopted an approximate meaning of the word, just the musical term I guess. So to me you can have a cadence of anything which occurs at intervals, like prolific goalscoring.

January is at least five games further down the line though,6 if you count the New Year's Day game.I hope we haven't shot ourselves in the ass by not getting a striker during this loan window.Staggering as it may be we are only 2 points (if you don't count the -10) better off at this stage than we were last season. We need to get some serious points onto the board in the next 6 winnable games and with 1 striker misfiring and 1 a bit knobbled I hope we know what we're doing. If Lallana's or AOC's goals were to dry up (not that there is any reason for that) we'll be up sh*t creek.
-
but he's never scored goals at the same cadence as Rickie, never ever.
-
just what I said, he doesn't score many goals compared to say Lambert, but strikers have good periods and bad periods, hence the oh wait..
-
doesn't score all that often really, not say compared to Lambert...oh wait.
