Redknapp, we all hate but we all know we missed out, don't we?

Care to elucidate on that?? -
it's probably the Algerian red then.Very hard on the old motor neurones that stuff.
-
er don't you mean a friend of Doug and Dinsdale ?
-
I went out for a run this afty 0°c and a bit of sleet, mind you it is over 600 metres altitude round here. However at -27°C intensive exercise probably causes exercise induced asthma so be careful on that.Don't blame me it's a well documented finding by Norwegian researchers studying Cross Country skiers and biathletes. Do what Gret Weiz and Ingrid Kristiansen did, run on a treadmill in your kitchen (mind you I fell off the other day and broke my little finger)

Tell them it's your mum's birthday on Sunday then, they'll only nail your head to the coffee table.

No because the gate prices are greatly reduced and I very much doubt that our salary mass has dropped in accordance, playing staff yes,but we do seem to have at least our share or peripheral coaches and what have you.Plus we are bringing nothing in at all from the sale of players nowadays,so the academy is totally subordinate to first team gates.I don't doubt that our annual salary mass is around 7 or 8 million and that needs far more than 21Kx25x£11 to support it.

Saints sign 6 players! (...on professional terms)

It is not a moan(or turnipping) it is a simple reflection on the number of young footballers that go through the "academy" mill and fail to make the grade. -
With suspenders ???
-
not for league 1 no. Doubt if we are covering much above our outgoings though, even with these good home crowds.

I wonder just how many of them will ever get more than a few minutes (if that) of first team action. We have loads of players who'll probably never see an entire first team game already.Still I guess we feel good about bringing on players for the likes of Gillingham, Barnet and Salisbury.I think of our current first team only AOC has come through our ranks. -
sincerely doubt it.People always forget that over 1/6 of the gate revenue is just collected for HMRC. Plus there are 13000 or so ST holders who pan out at about £13 a game, bags of concessions as well.I would think that an average entry brings the club little more that £11 so a 25K gate produces 275K£ in revenue.

In theory there are 5 because Oldham may or may not be above us when they catch up their postponed match. Still think we'll win this evening though, 2-1 maybe.
-
A5 is wrong,Chivers,
-
because he's already done his time for the 5 bookings, way way back at the beginning of October, obviously their principal hatchet man. Saturday's was obviously his 6th booking.
-
I thought El Abt was supposed to be suspended as well, obviously not.
-
Of course he does, he knows that he'll get nowhere on the international scene in the near future with us;the elimination of France U21s from the Euro 2011 (not his fault he didn't get a game in the woeful defeat against Belgium) has changed the whole ball game because the 1989 generation have been cast aside. He sees his team-mates in the U21s playing in French League 1 or in certain cases getting run outs in the EPL (like Maguy Guey),this is obviously the way forward for him so he wants to be part of it. On the international scene SFC is nowhere and this is why we cannot hold on to any player who has a chance of International Honours for a respectable nation.

Posts 51 and 52 seem to be contradictory then. Now from my experience the "I asked the girl how many had been sold and she told me....." posts always tend to be at least 1000 over the odds for even the final crowd numbers. So I'd say that we'll probably get a maximum of 25K tomorrow and for a Tuesday game at the end of November that's a good score.

Holmes was one of our better players at the start of the Dutch reign, then he got injured and it all looked so much worse because our midfield had no outlets.Noticed that he put in an excellent cross with his right foot on Saturday, maybe the one Guly scored from. Holmes is a good player as long as he's left out wide and gets to stay fit.
-
new modus operandii. We have to guess and then he tells us if we're close or not. Probably been gagged.
-
Unless of course Markus set aside a certain amount of money for the club which his family have no further control over,he trusted NC implicitly it would seem and it may well be that such a sum is completely at the clubs disposal as long as NC alone sanctions it.
-
Scottish referees that is
-
whilst they are still above us I expect they don't give a toss how many we get at each home game. Mind you we could go better than them tomorrow but we'll probably have to score another shedload of goals.
-
lb said (and we all know he tells you more than the OS ever will) that Seaborne was now injured and mentioned 3 weeks out.

this board is,in the majority, francophobe anyway

If we'd hired him the first time he met Rupert it may well have turned out better, can't remember what marvel we got that time, Stuart Gray maybe. The right man for the job my arse, a criminal decision from our beloved ex Chairman.
