  1. If you say so, it's a nothing match anyway.
  2. that's not the point, it's a weak defence, adds pressure to the better elements. As I said a ridiculous side fielded by a manager who spielged about "no let up". Doesn't matter really but if you're going to play a weakened side then don't blow your trumpet in the preceding days.
  3. Probably didn't even want to play today, he's on a lot of matches this season as well,
  4. what did you expect.
  5. Not sure that it's the case for Wotton (or James for that matter) Think they're both here next year unless they get another club.
  6. Commentator gave it though, fortunately for us the ref didn't.
  7. Ridiculous side if you ask me, I thought we wanted to get maximum points from our last 2 games. I mean the front end and Kelv looks alright but that defence? Well I guess you won't know till you try though, however if we get wopped because of the defence there will probably be some sort of recriminations from Tranmere over it.
  8. Don't understand that either, during the Cherries glory days (well when they played good football under Bond anyway) plenty of Saints fans used to take a trip most Saturday afternoons when they were at home and Saints weren't. (That was before many people went to faraway games and the Internet for all was still just a few scratchings on the back of a fag packet on Tim Berners-Lee's desk). We always seemed pretty welcome as fellow travellers on the good football route.
  9. All seems a bit flat today, far less interest in the game?..surely not.
  10. not really those results are acceptable, not great of course but they happen to most teams. For me we lost it in just 2 games, Brighton at home when we were on a hot streak and curiously enough Swindon at home as well, 4 points from those games instead of a big round zero would have eased the pressure for games like Oldham at home.
  11. Oh drat, lost again.
  12. Or stay at Burnley, I mean it's not as if he's an out an out EPL player is he. He's been at Burnley a good few years now so why should he up and move because they've been relegated. It would seem that he has another year of contract there so can't quite see why he'd move now.
  13. Although GB was right really, he should never have been exposed to a silly old baggage like that. And no Mrs Gillian Duffy don't expect me round to apologise any time soon, cos I can't stand old bags.
  14. he didn't, apparently the other lads had a whip round and bought him a go with her for his birthday. then a few others fancied a go themselves.
  15. Carole King, Bobby Vee and Helen Shapiro all have the right idea "It might as well rain until September"
  16. Best player perhaps, but certainly not the most sought after. Lambert is an enigma, scores shedloads but will probably never rise above League 1 football except by gaining promotion with us. JonJo Shelvey now he's worth taking a punt on for 3 million because he's scored 7 goals (against 30 for Lambert) Football used to work on a fairly simple basis, he who scores a lot is the MVP and that's what you need, the others can wait, now it's if he's young enough we might be able to hype him up a bit and fleece some mug team in a couple of years time. Ngog wasn't the best striker available at PSG but Liverpool bought him anyway. Now if they'd bought Hoarau they'd have got a better player for less money. I'm sure they just stick a pin in a list sometimes.
  17. why? they won last year didn't they? UEFA likes to spread it around a bit, hence no UK clubs in the semis this year, thus showing the whole wide world that debt doesn't buy the Champions League..oh did M Platini already say that? see he was right.;)
  18. Nope sorry afraid not, NC was pretty clear on the policy when Les Reed was appointed. Not that we may not buy the odd class player mind you but really doubt that we will go in for developing other clubs future bank balances.
  19. I doubt that that will happen, we are either going to buy him outright or leave it be. No sense in developing a player for another club to profit from after we've done all the spade work. Not the way we will work in the future.
  20. I would think just better class football and a couple of quid more would get the job done.
  21. My that Window Cleaner is a wise old owl...well not so old as all that
  22. Saint's don't need players like Lee Carsley, I really don't know why some of you think they do.
  23. A typical Hampshire bowling performance of late that's what's going on.
  24. Are we skint? Is this a cricketing version of Saints 2008/9? Just do not understand why we haven't signed quality players.
  25. Less a little something because he'd be suspended for the first 2 games. Will go to QPR anyway.
