Well he has accepted thousands of pounds worth of "hospitality" from various guilty parties and tried to block The Guardians original investigation for starters.
There really has been some strange decisions at the club. Myburg and De Wet being only one. Why spend so much time on rehabilitating Jones just to loan him back to Glamorgan ? Why sign Ali when clearly he is not fit ? Why did Tremlett feel the need to leave to better his game ? Letting Lumb go to the IPL when he only played for a few minutes ? etc etc.
Generally we start the season badly because of our traditional summer turmoil (sacking managers, administration etc ) although last year it was ****e planning by Pardew.
I think Corkys being really clever. He knows we have started poorly and is building up a siege mentality within the team to cement a very apparent team spirit. Dont forget some in the press suggested he was past his sell by date and should have retired last season.
A lot in the cricket establishment dont like us and see us as nouveau riche upstarts so it makes sense to capitalise on this.
