Load of nonsense. £74m in world charity terms is a drop in the ocean. Basically it is a publicity fest for fading celebs to get themselves back in the limelight (George Michael anyone ?) and an opportunity for irritating Look at me ! Look at me ! attention seeking ****s to dress up in fancy dress. If your that bothered about it donate to charity directly and without telling everyone. There was a superb documentry on Channel 4 a couple of months ago discussing the Green Movement and World Charities and the mosquito nets charities were discussed.Apparently the nets are singularly ineffective against malaria and the best way to remove the problem would be mass aerial spraying with insecticides but because that doesnt fit in with liberal western ideas it has been blocked by the likes of Friends Of The Earth even though it would save millions of lives. Quite a few African Governments are aware of this but many of the local Government Ministers make a large amount of money out of western aid and dont want to offend the powerful NGO's.

Remember it well. Got there really early as well by 9.00 am every facility selling food was over-run by Saints fans.We eat in I think it was a Woolworths Cafe near the front completely rammed with Saints.Good **** up but fairly uneventful until right at the end of the game when Blackpool started singing "Channon is a ******".This incensed the Saints fans. As you left the ground there was a large gravel Car/Coach park which looked like an abandoned building site (piles of bricks everywhere) and mayhem ensued. We stayed for part of the evening and as it was the last game of the season it appeared every team that played anywhere remotely near Blackpool had mobs of fans on the front.After that it gets a little blurry.....

Hanging out at Bournemouth Bus Station at 4 am was a big part of Saturday Night/Sunday morning.............

Who was at The Painted Wagon on a famous Saturday evening ? The place was rammed.If my memory serves me correct most of us were preparing for the bus to Bournemouth to visit Upstairs At Erics.Must have been about 8 O'clock when a group of older lads walked in most were wearing blazers and sta-prest/chinos.Within seconds they were chanting "Peeeooortsmuff" to be met with a hail of fists , beer glasses and chairs.Turned out they were the 6.57 Crew on thier way back by train from a West game (Plymouth/Bristol/Cardiff ?) and decided to stop off and pay us a visit. Most entertaining.

Particularly if the source was a Saints "legend" or friend of who had an agenda....................

Utter utter tripe unfortunately a few "fans" with an agenda think like that on this forum. Anyway its not even a must win game for us but it is for Boscombe...............

Enough with the intelligent postings. We need to snipe and undermine Adkins which will in turn undermine Cortese this will then lead to Micky Adams as manager (hes got to be good he was a legend here) Lawrie as Chairman.This will then lead to Jobs for Matt, Mike Osman,Benali and so on. Followed by a couple of fans on the board, a highly paid job for a club historian. Instant access to the club for the Daily Echo and hey presto we've got our club back.Perfect.

Absolutely spot on. I would would bet we are thinking of the same posters too. It was a poor first half but why should we bust a gut playing Yeovil especially when there is an important game Saturday.Bottom line is we comfortably won 3-0. Amazing to me that we won , Bompey lost and still certain "fans" are criticising the team , Adkins and whingeing about the lack of a minutes silence...........

We need to stop giving creedence to the likes of Fitzhugh and a few others I can think of.They know no more than any other fan and should be listened to less than most fans because like the "dark forces" they are bitter at being out of the loop at the club and have an agenda. Read between the lines of a few of the anti-Cortese posters on here and you will see they are part of the "give us a job" , "fanontheboard" clique and know that while Nicola is in charge they will never have a chance of a free lunch.
