Which is unlikely to happen until after we’ve cleared the deadwood from our squad and freed up resources. So add on another few windows which only extends the time we need to keep our heads above water.
-
How did that impact on our woes in defence and central midfield?
-
What happened to Mike Allott who isn’t exactly your polished, replica shirt wearing, new fan type?
-
IIRC Spurs should have buried us in the first half.
-
Has he chinned Ralph yet?

Exactly. This is a nobody activist -a stuck-up little princess FWIW- who is even less consequential and powerful than a prospective member of Parliament. So your point rings doubly true. People of all political persuasions say stupid things, amplified by social media, shocker. So what? Learn to walk the walk instead of getting caught out pal
-
Every election you get a slew of candidates from all political persuasions who do and say stupid things. We've had a ton already including it seems this one from all colours and it's been exacerbated with things like twitter. What's your point?

She might be treating your dissociative identity disorder one day, Brett.

Where did I say it was Les. I said it’s effectively the same deal that the EU had agreed to offer May in December 2017 before she and her party rejected it and proposed the UK-wide backstop instead. The EU and Varadkar couldn’t believe their lucky stars when Johnson folded quicker than a cheap suit and reverted to their preferred solution. They are delighted that there’s now a healthy majority to pass it. No wonder your Nigel is nervous.

The same WTO that no longer has a functioning dispute resolution body or any enforcement powers? That one Les? Anyway your cake-it-and-eat-it-with-Italian-prosecco predictions have been flat out wrong so far. But perhaps 2020 will be different...

Swinson’s gone because the SNP have effectively swept Scotland. But hey who cares about the beginning the end of the Union if it means the back of Jo Swinson.

My Jewish mates were all over that free broadband - would have done wonders for scaling up their budding media empires.

You’ve completely missed my point Les. Where did I mention May’s third vote? I’m talking about Johnson’s oven-ready deal.

There’s no such a thing as Canada +++ just as there is no Santa Claus pal. There is a barebones tariff-free, quota-free FTA that does nothing for regulatory frictions, rules-of-origin and the services sectors but that will come with big demands on fish and a level playing field. I can’t wait for next year
-
Like when Boris bottled it and caved into the EU’s original proposal for the withdrawal agreement. You must have missed that one little fella.

Don’t anyone ever tell me I’m cocooned in a “soft arse leftie” echo chamber

That has nothing to do with coalition per se. It’s like saying you don’t believe in government at all just because you disagree with a particular government’s policies. That’s a non sequitur. People who didn’t like the 2010 coalition would have hated the alternative much more.
-
Do they Jamie? Some people might disagree with the austerity policies the coalition pursued but they would have doubtless disagreed more if there hadn’t been the coalition since the policies under a straight Tory government would have been harsher. At any rate the main charge against coalition government is that it leads to weak, unstable and divided government and I don’t remember anyone criticising the 2010 coalition on those terms. Quite the opposite given the shîtshow of the last few years. Of all people on here pal, you should probably think before you open your mouth.

My Jewish mates agree with this.

Freedom charter (is that the EU’s original proposal that May and Johnson had previously rejected or the bit that presages the end of the UK) and a reciprocal FTA with the US. If I had business dealings with any of you in real life, it would be like taking candy from a baby

I’ve repeatedly said I’m deeply ambivalent about a second referendum per the likes of Rory Stewart. I’m simply pointing out that the sweeping inferences drawn from the GE result about support for Brexit are hogwash and there’s only one way to test that support. Alas you agree with me, so we can park that one. I think you’ve confused even yourself with your last sentence. Self-interest isn’t why I think Brexit, as it’s been sold, is a ridiculous idea. If you think that, you’ve obviously not read or understood any of my posts over the past three years despite your manic desire to respond to them

Of course there are likes of Hypo who are badly informed but would still vote Leave.

I have Jewish mates who voted Remain but ended up siding with Johnson because of antisemitism in the Labour Party.
