If you look at MP's subs, he rarely, if ever brings on a defender for tactical reasons. The only time is when he brought Fox on to play LM and double up against Hazard. When you also consider that Fonte hasn't got a sniff under MP, the fact that Forren has been made to wait is not a huge surprise.

Last trip there was horrible - got searched and asked for details by the OB as soon as I got off the train. And then was made to wait in a van after the game and nearly missed the train. The rain and our capitulation on the pitch only added to the 'day out'.

Agree its functional and does nothing wrong. For a new stadium, its relatively central - probably the most central out of all the flatpacks. And compared to many grounds in the prem, it generates a half decent atmosphere. But given the choice between a Goodison (warts and all) and SMS, I'd go for the former everytime.

The article isnt that far off -at least in terms of SMS. It is not the worst stadium in the PL (Reading is in IMO) but its one of the worst.

Didnt he make his debut against QPR - or he came on as sub? I know he has subsequently done OK and I expected big things from someone who was banging them in for spurs youth/reserves. But he was dire for us. Terrible touch and control. By contrast, Robertson wasn't as bad as you make out. His goal against Norwich, a lovely curler iirc, alone was better than anything Peckhart did for us.

Any number of our youngsters from our famed academy: ollie lancashire, jake thomson, matt paterson. Pericard also deserves a mention. But the prize has to go to tomas peckhart. Skacel was the biggest disappointment and, more than anyone, personified the rot and spongers culture that had set into the club. Although Forecast is also a daily reminder of how we were easy prey not too long ago.

Very true - meant in terms of the gap between perception and reality. Swansea get loads of plaudits for their supposed swashbuckling style whereas the likes of QPR and Wham don't.

IMO Carlton Cole has been much more effective when he's faced us. Wasn't impressed by Carroll. Had one or two runs and was a nuisance physically but Jos coped pretty well. The lad just doesn't have the touch or vision to play up front by himself and, consequently, can't buy himself that bit of time to bring others in. Needs players to start much closer to him -and for most of the game, Wham weren't willing to gamble. Can see him being much handier at home than away. I hope they spunk £15m on him - BFS excels when it comes finding a decent veteran but wouldn't trust him with a big budget. Say what you want about Gaston but Jarvis has been a much bigger disappointment this season.

Let's not big swansea up. Sure they'll be a more expansive and expressive proposition at home; but they have to be the most negative, park your bus side to visit st marys this season.
