Merse's comments were all reasonable enough, though half of them represented U-turns in one form or another e.g. on Lambert. Either way, lets be clear that Merse is not hired as an analyst. He's paid to be the court jester and to shoot from the hip -roles he arguably carries off with aplomb.

Probably but not like he was given much of an opportunity. Even when asked about the change of managers, Merse butted in and said that MP looks like he's totally changed things around (obvious b*****ks but quite a leading statement, not leaving much room in way of a response).
